Quick question, how are drinking alcohol and hepatitis C related?

I don't think they are related but both effect the liver. If you have hepC then you should NOT drink alcohol.

They are only related in that they both cause severe liver damage.

Hepatitis C is a blood disease which effects the liver. Everything you put into your body is filtered through the liver. Alcohol is very difficult for the liver to process and causes damage to the liver when abused. the later stages of Hep C include cirrhosis of the liver which turns into cancer of the liver, both of these can be got by being a heavy drinker without the bonus of Hep.
