What is something to put on burns that will help?
Yesterday my chem partner spilled boiling water on my leg and it's burnt quite nicely and even though our schools nurse said not I was wondering what is a something I could put on it?

when I was young my mother put vaseline on burns.

First immerse the wound in cold water (not too cold or freezing water).

Treat it with a skin care product like aloe vera cream or any other mild moisturizers.

Protect the burned area, you can put a dry bandage over the burn (do not use fluffy cotton).

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever (Ask your parents for the same)

Don't use ice. Putting ice directly on a burn can cause frostbite, further damaging your skin.
Don't apply butter or ointments to the burn. This could prevent proper healing.
Don't break blisters. Broken blisters are vulnerable to infection.

Hope this helps...

Aloe gel. If you've got an aloe plant, cut off one of the leaves and crush it. Rub the gel on the wound and it'll soothe it. Check the net if you don't believe me.

bath it in cold water.. if it still bad now. go and see ur school nurse again. does ur parents know? maybe get them to see ur family doctor? might need a dressing

Aloe Vera or the Johnson Johnson cut, scrapes and burns cleanser :D

numbing agent. There is a whole isle at your local dug store that has assorted products. Look for the type of burn you have and that should help.

Aloe Vera Gel direct from the plant works.

Researchers confirm that Aloe vera can penetrate into the skin and deliver vital nutrients to the epidermis. It helps in promoting the removal of dead skin and stimulate growth in living cells.

It's high water and mineral content make it ideally suited for use as a skin cream and it can be found in a number of commercial beauty aids and suntan lotions. Aloe Vera's softening powers have recently been found to be helpful in breaking down calluses and blisters as well.

Aloe Vera Gel

Transparent gel from the pulp of the meaty leaves of Aloe vera has been used topically for thousands of years to treat wounds, skin infections, burns, and numerous other dermatologic conditions. Dried latex from the inner lining of the leaf has traditionally been used as an oral laxative.

There is promising preliminary support from laboratory, animal, and human studies that topical aloe gel has immunomodulatory properties that may improve wound healing and skin inflammation.

*Make sure it is pure Aloe Vera gel with no chemicals and preservatives. You can even buy a plant and just cut open on of the thick leaves and put the sticky gel on directly.

benedral....there's lyk a itch cream n it stops da hurting of yo burn....i noe it's a itch cream but it still works....trust me....dis one time i went 2 disChineses weddingg(no i'm not Chinesees...but i am asian) n da Waiter spilled hot tea on me...n ma bro ran 2 da store down da corner....n bought some benedral n it worked!

You might want to try an aloe vera gel.

Aloe Vera or if you still experience the pain - Aloe Vera with Lidocaine.

There are 2 ointments that either one is a must-have in every medicine cabinet. Either Desitin or A&E ointment. They are usually used for rashes (especially daper rash), but work equally well on burns. The Desitin doesn't smell as good as the A&D, but both work amazingly well in taking the sting off and helping the healing process.

Smell my finger !
...Silvadene Cream 1% (ask your Doctor or the Pharmacist) ...nothing better !

Aloe Vera gel is great at soothing and healing burns.

And whatever the legends tell you, do NOT use butter!
