Really, the only "recipe" you need is to increase your water and salt intake.

Yes, I know the thing about "salt causes high blood pressure", but this is a myth. Salt regulates the blood pressure, it doesn't raise it. Where doctors get this idea is from what they call "excessive" salt in the blood - but it's not really "excessive". I'll explain this later.

High blood pressure (or hypertension) is caused by dehydration - not drinking enough water.

Every cell in the body needs important nutrients that water and salt deliver - without these nutrients they malfunction, causing health problems.

When you get dehydrated, the body rations the water to make it available to the important organs such as the brain, kidneys, liver, etc. It then goes on a search for other sources of water. The blood is made up of 94% water and salt, and so this is often one of the sources that supply the extra water.

Taking the water from the blood causes the arteries to constrict due to the loss of volume and it also causes the blood to thicken - much the same way a sauce thickens on the stove top as the water evaporates. This requires the heart to have to exert more pressure to pump the blood, resulting in the high blood pressure readings.

One other thing that happens when the blood thickens is the salt that was mixed with the water gets concentrated (only the water was borrowed, not the salt). This is where doctors get the idea that there is "excess" salt and it's why they tell people to stop eating salt. But this isn't "excess" salt - it's the same amount that was there in the beginning, it just had the water taken out. It was the RESULT of high blood pressure, not the CAUSE.

To correct the problem, simply increase your water and salt intake according to the protocol found through the link below.

Medications are only good for intervention to address the problem immediately and bring it back into an acceptable range. Beyond that the only thing medications do is keep the numbers artificially lowered to stay within this acceptable range. You must take them for the rest of your life and hope that the chemicals they contain don't alter your condition to have to switch to a different medication because the original is no longer effective. This is no way to live. All this does is to create an umbilical cord from you to your doctor, making a detour to your bank account.

Medications cure nothing. To correct the problem, you need to address it at the source, not the symptoms. Clicking on the link below and following the protocol, you'll eventually be able to drop the medications altogether, and tell your doctor where to get off.

Try eating alot of fruit and vegetables and try and excersize more, get your blood pressure checked regularly and try sleeping with your legs up a height, not too far up though. Less salt in your diet helps too.

squeeze lemon in your salads, one tea spoon of vinegar, you can either dilute with some water and drink or drizzle on your salads. I heard curry leaves (asian herbs) are really good.

It is difficult to answer to your question because you did not mention how high your BP readings were.
However it is an EXCELLENT idea to lower your blood pressure through your food intake.
What you need to do is to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.Avoid saturated fat but eat generously good fat like avocados and some nuts like walnuts.The idea is to eat 80 fruits/10% Vegetables and 10% fat.
It is what we called the LFRD(Low Fat Raw Vegan Diet).Also make sure to monitor your blood pressure , using it at the grocery store or by buying one at your pharmacy or online.
And don't forget to drink a lot of water! :) Good luck.
