High blood pressure have you found a more effective way of controlling it than by using prescription drugs?

my resting heart rate is 68 bpm, is that good?
i am 18 years old

a little high, 55 would be ideal.

Athletes are around 40.

To the 70 beats per minute people........read on

Maximum heart rate (MHR, also called STD, or HRmax) is the highest number of times your heart can contract in one minute. HRmax is used as a base number to calculate target heart rate for exercise (see below).[2] The average adult heart beats about 60 to 100 times a minute at rest. The resting heart rate usually increases with age[3], and is generally lower in physically fit people. Maximum heart rate is used to determine one's training target heart rate. Athletes sometimes measure their resting heart rate as one way to find out if they're over trained. The heart rate adapts to changes in the body's need for oxygen, such as during exercise or sleep.

60 to 100 are for the average person. I said ideal, because that would show some form of fitness or exercise program was in place. Hence 55 bpm.

"and is generally lower in physically fit people" ...I like that phrase.

55 would be better if your a boy
60 if your a girl

yeh tis fine average about 60

It's not bad but if you're fit it should be lower.

Good. The pulse rate of a normal resting person is 60-100 bpm. A well trained athlete has a pulse rate of 40-60 bpm.

65 is normal. mines been at 80-70-60 (that range). not good if its very low or very high.

Its ok
but its not all about heart rate if its high or low
see how long it takes u to bring it back to normal after exercising
it should be probably between 2-5min
the less it takes the fitter u r

Resting Heart Rate Your resting heart rate is often a good determination as to how fit you are, as well as indicating if you're either over training or unwell - showing up as unxplained increases in resting heart rate.

Average Results

Age 18 -25 =70-73
Age 26 -35 = 71-74
Age 36 -45=71-75
Etc Etc

Youre results are average so youre not doing too bad but results differ if youre an athlete or lazy etc this video can help=

It's fine. 68 bpm is OK for an 18-year-old. Mine is around 75.

thats a good resting heartrate for a average person.

itss about average i think x

that's pretty much normal as a normal heart beat is about 72 BPM

Yes that's fine. Normal heart rate for adults is 60-100 and can be a little less in athletes and teenagers.
