What you should do now is to go either to a dentist or a doctor and get them to give you emergency treatment. That will be free. |

u need a wad of gauze bite on it for at least 5 mins till bleeding stops and do it again if the bleeding starts again. dont wash yr mouth out as it will disturb the blood clot. |

You need to have an xray taken to see if you got the entire tooth and didn't leave anything behind...
If you're still bleeding heavily, a trip to the ER is in order... do you take aspirin daily? This will keep you from clotting...
You'll probably need to be on antibiotics for a while to get rid of whatever infection caused you to pull it out yourself in the first place....and a tetanus shot may be in order as well, since I'm sure the pliers weren't sterile......... |

Saving a few bucks by extracting your own teeth is not worth the infections that are almost certain to occur. (I mean seriously, pliers?) See a dentist as soon as you can. In the meantime, don't chew on that side, and gargle several times a day with warm salt water. |

apologies in advance if you are indeed serious...however, pray that you did pull out the whole root of the tooth, it will otherwise abscess. Use clean sterile gauze. Apply anti-bacterial tincture. wearing surgical gloves. Apply pressure and by now, since this was posted 17 minutes ago, bleeding should have ceased. To avoid further infection with a pair of tweezers insert a gauze strip into the hole (that sounds kinky, but I m serious) to avoid air and bacteria contact. That leads to dry socket and that is a bloody(no pun intended) nightmare!! Change the gauze every few hours til' the blood clots, then keep it plugged for about three days. I would advise against smoking, as it increases your chance of infection. However, I as a smoker know how difficult that is. So if you are intent on smoking, gargle with warm salt water afterwards.
Ouch, you are a brave man.
Secondly, make friends with a dentist if possible.

my dad has a habbit of pulling out teeth too, he just stuffs his mouth with gauze. pack some around the area and bite down for a while. if its been going some time go to the dr or something cause its not good when it carrys on bleeding for a long time! |

Bite down on thick pieces of gauze for at least 3 hours. If it still bleeds, you should see a dentist or go to hospital emergency. |

You could try plugging it with sterile gauze/cotton wool, but don't forget that if it is contaminated you will be in serious trouble.
You could go into a doctor's surgery and ask to see the nurse who will have sterile equipment to hand. Or the local hospital. In the UK, that won't cost you. |

My boyfriend did this and ended up with a week in hospital with blood poinsoning although he used a screwdriver!!
Get down to A & E and keep pressure on the wound
dental treatment is expensive and the govermont should do something about it I mean £15+ for a check up that lasts 2 minutes it's mad I'm definately in the wrong job!! |

I had the same problem with my do-it-yourself gastric bypass surgery. Use lots of gauze and matches to coagulate the blood.
