You can get that special cavity protection toothpaste, but that won' t do any thing to any cavities you already have.

dylan
the only way to not get cavities is to do exactly what you are doing...taking care of your teeth. don't worry...you will be just fine brushing your teeth 3 times a day

DONT FORGET TO BRING YOUR TEETH

Cavities are sometimes genetic and there's nothing you can do to completely prevent them. By genetic, I mean some families have a greater number of cavities whereas other families rarely have cavities -- hygiene being equal. Some people just have weaker enamel.

The best thing you can do is brush after every meal, floss, and use a fluoride rinse once a day.

considering you are so persistent, then you should not get a cavity. just lay off the sugar tonight, and there's truly nothing more you can do. good luck!

Cavities don't appear in one night, as well, prevent them is a slow task, there is not a quick way.

If you brush your teeth 3 times a day, that's a great way to start ! also try not to eat too many candies

avoid excessive sugar. Instead of brushing your teeth just 3 times a day, do it right after you eat.

I wish I could give you a quick fix but unfortunately cavities take time to form. If you do have one, there's no way to get rid of it. In fact, it's good that they find it and take care of it asap. If they don't, it will turn into a root canal and if you think fillings are painful... you never want to come close to getting a root canal. The dentist is a good thing and they shouldn't be scary... if you bush as much as you say you do and floss regularly, Don't worry! you'll be fine.... good luck

don't eat candy. oh, mouthwash and brushing your teeth... make sure you floss too. Two cavities your whole life? Seems normal to me. I have like 4.

No. Sorry. There's really not. Just have to brush better. Even though your brushing 3 times a day you may not be brushing as thoroughly as you need to.

turkeybrooknj
Brushing, flossing, using mouthwash, of course but, it goes further than that. You need to eat the proper food, avoid hard candies (and chewing them with your teeth), avoid gummy, sticky candy and lots of sweets, soda and sugary foods. Eating a healthy diet can help to keep your teeth in good condition and taking care to have your teeth professionally cleaned is a good way to keep from getting cavities. If you follow through with this plan, you should be able to keep your teeth safe from decay. Make sure you keep your gums in good condition, as well because you can get tooth decay from gum disease, too.

I got a filling this morning, thankfully they now use 'invisable' coatings, so you don't know they are there.

Its true that regular brushing and mouthwash prevent bacteria and plaque build up.

But try considering your diet, or genetic predisposition to dental problems.

If eating sugary foods, or acidic etc, try rising with water or chewing special gum to lower the plaque build up therefore reducing the risk of more cavities in between brushing.

Maple City Slugger
floss. because i got two cavities between my teeth. and they said that i should floss more. which i dont. i never floss. oh and dont be scared. you dont even feel it. they numb your whole mouth. and you dont feel anything.

there is nothing you can do. if you have a cavity you will find out tomorrow and if you don't you will also find out tomorrow. the best way to not get a cavity is to do what you are doing but it helps A LOT to floss. Once you have a cavity though there is no way to get rid of it until your dentist fixes it. sorry.

dont eat candy, mainly chewy things that stick to your teeth!

Richie's Mama
Most cavities are found in between the teeth that's why it is important to floss. Flossing removes buildup in between where the brush don't go. Sometimes cavities are hereditary and no matter how often you brush you will get them. But way to avoid the is see the dentist every 6 months for cleaning and do good home care.

I know the question is asking how to prevent getting cavities quickly, but i think if you brush your teeth three times a day you wont get them.(:
BUT: google says that that to prevent cavities/ get rid of them quickly, that you can simply just brush your teeth after every meal, and use a tartar controliung toothpaste/ mouth wash. Sorry if i didn't answer this correctly, but it might help in the future, or now.

Cavities are a fact of life, Lovely....

And, really.. only 2 cavities is pretty good.

But, I have to say, since you are brushing your teeth 3 times a day, you may actually be over-doing it. Especially on your gums, which are very delicate and DON"T GROW BACK. Just, be gentle.

More importantly, how frequently do you floss? If you said, "...less than once a day", you lose. Flossing is more important than brushing. Ask your dentist.

It's possible to prevent future cavities by means of a few ways.

First, for all the teeth you have which have NEVER had a cavity, you could have them encapsulated. Basically, they can clean them real good then coat them in a thin plastic type of layer that adheres to your teeth. Voila!!! No more cavities.

Or, you can avoid sweets. Sweets, sugary things are the main culprit of cavity causes. Let's face it, you don't get cavities from eating celery!

But if you cut out the sweets, well, it kind of takes a lot of fun out of life. Personally, I don't know if I can live without Haagen Dazs Cherry Vanilla.

You could have all your teeth pulled and replaced with imitation teeth that they mount directly into your jaw bones. But that is a magnificent surgery and expense.. I think you'd probably have a cavity drilled.

And, they there's the other tooth pulling option which leads to dentures. Convenient, easy, never get cavities, take them out to clean, soak in a cup over night... and they look so real. Really!!! I think this is probably the best option for you.

Or, you could just brush and floss regularly.

Glad I could help.
