What do I do? My Mom is dying of cancer in the USA (where I'm from) but no one knows when, and I live in UK
I just went to see her this month, but my sister says it's getting worse, yet my Mom denies that.

what can you do, She's in denial, get your sister to keep you posted that's all you can do now.

It depends on how advanced it is - my dad went into hospital feeling unwell and being sick on the January and we were told he had 6 months but died before the end of march. He had stomach cancer. 3 years before he had lung cancer and after operation he was fine, so it depends on your mums present condition.

oh I feel your pain. My dad is the same condition and I live kinda far too. Just spend as much as possible with her. God Bless u and your family!

Hannah
Your mom may be in denial or trying to protect you. Or your sister may be scared and want you there too. Talk to them both again and see what you think. Might be best just to go over there and stay for a while.

Ok to start with this is your Mum. What does your heat tell you to do you will get a gut feeling about this and I suggest that you follow it. You really dont what to be saying "what if" after the fact. You will regret what you dont do now.

If its feisible I would go and stay with her until she dies but cancer is a strange thing and people can hang on for a long time especailly if they have a zest for life and are just plain stubbon!

You Mum will be trying to make you feel better at a guess. Its a generation thing. They dont want people to worry about them so they say theyre better than they are. I'm guessing your sister is honest with you (as much as siblings can be!) so I would trust her assesment of the situation.

You clearly love you Mum very much and I think it would affect you badly if she were to die before you got there.

Go with gut instinct on this you dont get a second chance at this.

Take care and all the best to your Mum.

your mum wont want to worry you .. go over the to USA and stay with her until she passes away .. spend good quality time with her because you don't know what you've got until it's gone.

My Grain
Sorry to hear about your mum.Go now and be with her or you'll regret it. Your mum is in denial. It happened to my dad but I got over to the UK just in time to see him before he died.

sweetie, i'm so sorry! my mom is also dying of cancer, and i would totally go & be with her. spend as MUCH time as you can with her. no regrets! you only get one mom. love her as much as you can. hold her hand, let her cry, rant & rave, whatever.
i told my mom to call me any time! i will always answer. my mom only lives an hour from me, but it seems like a country away.
good luck to you.
HUGS!

I'd go over and stay with her 'til she passes away.

★mini..me★
stay with her...she stayed with you and cared for you until you were old enough to move out..and she was probably sad even when u did move out..
the least you can do is go stay with her during the final stages of her life..
im very sorry to hear this though..
god bless you and your mother and family members

Get out there now and stay until the end if you can! My Mum had cancer and in May last year the Doctors told us she'd at least be with us until the Christmas, anyway in the June (less than a month later) she seemed to be doing ok-even she thought she was and she was making plans for things and felt good, but one day she suddenly died, the tumour had managed to spread rapidly and ruptured some organs.Nobody saw it coming and we were all caught off guard and never got a chance to say goodbye.Cancer is very, very unpredictable so if you can arrange to go back and stay for a while I would!Your Mum probably is trying to protect you, trust your Sister on this as she will be able to judge the situation better.
P.S-I know how this feels and what you are going through-if you need somebody to talk to you are welcome to mail me.
