I have constant diahrrea. Abdominal pain that hurts really bad at points. Side Effects
I'm having chronic lower back pain which is totally debillitating. Also experiencing itching, problems sleeping every night, stomach nausea during the night. Product is great for GERD but awfull if it causes these side affects.

Additional Thoughts
Nexium does resolve the GERD best but if it is indeed causing these side affects, I really need to be informed and offered a reasonable alternative. I have not heard any warning or alerts from my gastrologist or general practioner. Someone is dropping the ball informing patients.

Reason: had an accident and was given tylenol no 3 which gave me sever stomach problems Date: 24 August 2009
Side Effects
i have headaches and migranes. muscle pain and soft tissue problems but these are not caused by this drug. nexium is made to relax my stomach and decrease the acidity and it does exactly that. i may be right in saying that my side effects are not caused by nexium

Additional Thoughts
this medication is only doing what it is supposed to do. it soothes my stomach and stops the burning. my side effects may be caused by the other medications i am taking.

Reason: esophageal ulcer Date: 10 July 2009
Side Effects
I've been taking Nexium for almost two weeks and it's been such a relief to not eat tums all day and all night, and not have terrible pain after eating. I immediately experienced worsening backache, bad for me since I already had back problems. I can barely get out of bed in the morning even after eight or more hours of sleep, I am so exhausted and feel drugged, even though I take Nexium at noon. I've also had occasional really bad headaches which last for hours, off and on. The itching and fatigue are the things that are the most bothersome to me right now, and I hope I can adjust to this medication because it's really been effective in eliminating much of my stomach pain. I also don't seem to have the raging hunger I was having before my treatment began.
