Uses
Aromasin is used to treat breast cancer occurring after menopause. It acts by causing a decrease in hormone (estrogen) levels.

Storage

Store at room temperature; 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from light and moisture.

Overdose

If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

How To Use

Take exemestane by mouth, generally once daily after a meal or as directed.

Side Effects

Hot flashes, nausea, fatigue, increased sweating, and increased appetite may occur.
If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly.
Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects: swelling of the legs or feet, signs of infection such as fever or persistent sore throat, dark urine, stomach pain.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

Tell your doctor your medical history, including: allergies.
Exemestane is not recommended for use during pregnancy.
It is only recommended for use after menopause.
Consult your doctor before using Aromasin.
It is not known whether Aromasin passes into breast milk.
Because of the potential risk to the infant, if you are exposed to Aromasin then breast-feeding is not recommended.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not double the dose to catch up.

Drug Interactions

Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially of: estrogens (e.g., ethinyl estradiol).
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
