Allopurinol - Inj Allopurinol is used to treat high levels of uric acid in your body. Uric acid can cause gout. This injection is usually given to people with cancer a day or two before receiving chemotherapy. Chemotherapy kills cancer cells and these dead cells can cause very high levels of uric acid in your body (tumor lysis syndrome). |
