How To Use

HOW TO USE THIS MEDICATION: Follow the instructions provided with the medication.
Fill the applicator that comes with the cream to the level indicated or unwrap a tablet or suppository, wet it with lukewarm water and place it on the applicator as shown in the printed instructions.
Insert the applicator as directed and push the plunger to release the medication.
If the applicator is reusable, pull it apart and clean it with soap and warm water after each use.
Use a sanitary napkin to prevent clothing stains.
Do not use a tampon since it will absorb the drug.
Do not douche without consulting your doctor.
Continue to use the medication as prescribed for the full time prescribed.
If you get your menstrual period, continue treatment.

Side Effects

This medication may cause burning, stinging or itching of the skin or vagina.
If these symptoms persist or get worse, contact your doctor.
If you experience stomach cramps, skin rashes, hives or headache, stop using this medication and contact your doctor.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

Tell your doctor if you are using a diaphragm as birth control.
Some suppositories can interact with the latex in diaphragms.
This medication should be used cautiously during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
It is not known if this medication appears in breast milk.
Consult with your doctor before breast-feeding.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

Drug Interactions

Be sure your doctor knows what medicines you use (both prescription and nonprescription) and if you have any allergies.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
