I have asthma and my inhalers don't work?
I am in pe at school and i have to run A LOT. I have asthma really bad and my inhalers do not work. What can i do to help my asthma?
First of all, make sure you are using the correct technique. A lot of people don't manage to get the aerosol spray into the lungs. If you are not sure, get a device called a spacer. There are many different kinds and a good pharmacy will sell them.
Are you on a steroid based inhaler as well, one containing something like beclomethasone? If not, you probably should be, as this is a preventative medicine and works on a long term basis. If used correctly, this should decrease the need to use your other inhaler for acute episodes.
You may also need to look into getting a doctors' certificate, stating your medical condition prevents you from running, so you can get yourself excused from exercise that worsens your asthma.
you need to not run as much and see your doctor.
he can give you something else for your breathing.
the best advice would be to consult your doctor.... don't play with asthma like that.
