Can a vertebra really be "out of alignment" and what does that mean anyways?
Can a vertebra really be "out of alignment"? What does "out of alignment mean? If a vertebra is really out of alignment, doesn't it mean that there is also a spinal disc that is either herniated or ruptured? Is it possible for a vertebra to just be "out of alignment" without any problems with a disc? If a vertebra is "out of alignment" what is the treatment for it? How is this problem corrected? THANKS!

yes it can be but your question should be how does it happen? It happens when you have tight muscles on one side of your back pulling on the attached vertebrae to cause it to be pulled out of it's normal place, in it's aligned space. You can pull just it out of place but you can keep the pressure on the vertebrae without it moving out of place and then you have the constant pressure on the discs and when left that way for too long it will cause the disc issues that come up. While chiropractors say they have the answer, an alignment, it isn't the full answer for if the muscles are still tight they are going to pull it back out of alignment again and again, kind of keeps the chiropractors busy putting them back into place, huh? The answer is to free the muscles up and the back will shift back into it's rightful place and without further pain. Here's how to free the back muscles up to accomplish that: Back: (do from a sitting position) Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. for best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. By the way, good question, glad to see that you don't take it all at face value.
