I have been having chest pain for a few days now, off and on...any suggestions?
I have had this type of pain last December a few times, it was a pressure type of pain, that went down my left arm, but it went away. I have gotten it here and there since then, but the last couple of days I have gotten it again and now it seems worse.
I couldn't sleep last night because of it, and because I was really worried too. I described it as someone squeezing my heart, but not so bad that I felt I needed to be rushed to the emergency room. My family thinks it may be gas, but this has been on and off like I said, and I don't think that's what it is. I know I should call my Dr. and I will, but I'm just seeing what other's thought. Two weeks ago I was in the Dr office and he said my heart rate was 116 which was high for me. Anyone have any advice for me? I'm 32, 5'2 and I weigh around 135.

Could be stress related.

I hope you've already called 911 and are on the way to the hospital. My dad died at the age of 51 of a heart attack, and he 'didn't feel well' for two days. That's all the warning we got. Go. Now.

I really advise you to go to your doctor, immediately. Especially because it seems to be getting worse, which isn't a good sign.

Chest pains are nothing to play with no matter how old you are. It is better to be safe than sorry. Consult a physician immediately.

I really don't think its Gas. It may be anxiety, though. U really should go see your Doc. People have died from heart attacks at your age or younger. Is there any heart diseases in your family? May be just high blood pressure. You should be checked out by a Doc who specializes in the circulatory system. Take care of yourself, your the only one we've got.

i think you should see ur dr. do not disregard ur chest pain bec sometime or most of the time it is sign of heart attack. it is better if u see ur dr and have it treated early. dont worry the dr will just check ur blood for heart enzymes. go now and see ur dr. dont wait until its too late.

A squeezing feeling in your chest/heart is a classic symptom of an oncoming heart attack! Combined with the left arm..?! Get to the ER!! DO NOT DRIVE YOURSELF!!

You need to go to ER RIGHT NOW. Some squeezing your heart and pains down your left arm need to be checked out NOW. GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND GET TO A HOSPITAL RIGHT AWAY!!!!

Sounds like anxiety attack and stress related symptoms. I had been having chest pains and pain in my arms as well. The doc told me, 5 days ago, that I was stressed. I had trouble breathing and it was like I was gasping for air. Please go to your doctor and let him/her know this immediately. This is something you don't want to play with. I hope you feel better soon.

You really must get to an ER and be tested and do not take just one doctor's advice on this either. Women are often dismissed when they have real heart attacks. You are young and need to be taken seriously to prevent damage to your heart.
Better safe than sorry.
Good luck.
