Is it normal to sleep for 10 hours?
i dont sleep till about 5 or 6 in the morning and i sleep for ten hours. is there somthing wrong with me?

No, people require different amounts of sleep usually between 6 hours to 10 hours, I need 9 hours, I try for 10 on the weekends :)

it depends on your age a kid should get about 10 to 11 hours of sleep a day a teenager should get 8 to 9 hours of fsleep a day and a grpownup (30) + should get 7 to 8 hours of sleep a day

Umm, no nothing wrong just bad habits, do you take naps- that will **** up your sleeping pattern. But, no I love sleeping ten hours a day. It's great and you just feel so damn good after. Now if you get up and you are just so tired you can't stand it all you want to do is sleep again-get checked out for depression.

everyone has a different circadian rhythm. i think it also depends on age how normal it is. do you have regular sleep patterns, as in going to bed and getting up at the same time everyday, or does it vary? you might want to check with a doctor if it is disrupting your everyday life.

I sleep 9 to 10 hours each night. Have been doing so for 20 years. Extremely normal. Your body rejuevenates itself while sleeping.

You might have some sort of condition, but chances are, living in America, it's a combination of bad food, bad exercise, etc. If you feel like it could be getting worse, or if you're really tired during the day, you might should see a doctor.

I sleep 8 to 10 hours a day. they say you should sleep 8 hours..and I do 8 to 10. I have the luxury of making my own hours for work so I get up when I want. You are normal.

Everyone is different and require different amounts of sleep. I function on 6 hours of sleep.

No, that is not. I guess if you do it alot it is.. But it's not healty for you! You should go to bed at least around one!!! Its good to have like 8 or 9 hours. So yeah, Good luck!

you should be careful. your eyes produce a cancer preventing hormone that is produced only at night during sleep. i believe it is called Melatonin. I advise that you begin to get your rest at night and research a bit on it.

No. Sleeping times vary depending on the age of the person.. 12 hours is normal for teens for example.

i know it's normal for children to sleep this long, but i'm not sure it's ok for adults. however, if you're going to bed so late, it should be ok

depends do you work 3rd shift? or are you a college student... if not then maybe you should be on a better sleeping pattern... people really only need 7-8 hrs.... ten every night (day in you case) might be oversleeping... but id ask your doctor about it...

You're probably just over exhausted. Because if I could I'd sleep 10 to 12 hours. I'm up 6 days a week at 5:15 am for work and don't get home until about 6:30 pm and I'm in the bed no later that 8:30 pm.

its normal girl, lol. its actually a good thing to get ur rest in my opinion. ive been known to sleep 12 hrs! and im perfectly healthy.trust me, dont stress, ur good.

Do what you need to do to go to bed at a normal hour. As far as the 10 hour thing that is actualy a good amt. of time. Most people need that but don't get it . It sound like u just got your days and nights mixed up. Try to turn that around and i think you'll be fine.

I was doing the same thing. I work from my home on top of it so it is not very constructive :) I had to force myself to stay up as long as possible during the day and then I took Tylenol simply Sleep for a day or two. It put me back on a normal sleep schedule. If that does not work for you, you may want to consult a physician. Sometimes underlying depression or anxiety will cause a disruption of your sleep. Good luck to you. I know it is not any fun!

No, not at all. Your body obviously needs that much rest. I don't think 10 hours of sleep is excessive at all, especially if you are young and still growing.

You may be depressed or under a lot of stress. If you try to go to sleep at normal hours but you continually stay awake, you may need to see a doctor about insomnia. In addition, I've heard it is not good to play video games or use the Internet or other electronics for at least an hour before bedtime because it gets to much adrenaline flowing and you can't sleep. Try getting a good book and lie down in bed to read. You will probably fall asleep reading that way.

No, you body knows how much sleep you need. I've slept for 12 hours at a time.

Low iron levels can make you tired a lot. Are you anemic? Do you eat enough protiens? (Meats and beans)

what kind of activities do you do while you are awake??? is your life very active? usually when i sleep a lot i tend to get headaches or back aches. i also feel more tired.

It depends on your age. Young people and old people need more sleep. The average person should sleep only 7-8 hours. Maybe you should have your blood checked to see if you are anemic.
