 Can drinking too much water make you retain water?
I drink about 72oz of water a day and I'm wondering if this is a good/bad thing? I know they say to drink a lot but would this make you retain more water?...

How long does it take to lose 60 pounds on a treadmill?
If i eat healty and work on the treadmill for 3 hours per a day. I a 11 years old girl and i am 5"1 and I weigh 140 pounds

im 12 and i tried that and only lost 3 pounds cuz it was so tiring :P

3 hours per day is too much , use one hour and later add more if u want , it will take a couple of months good luck

YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOSE 60 LBS!!!!! THAT IS TOO MUCH WEIGHT FOR YOU TO LOSE!!!!! I am sure that you already look AMAZING, but if you are not happy with your body, it's OK to lose 20 lbs. And, one hour a day on the treadmill is PLENTY of exercise! PLEASE do not get carried away, think HEALTHY. <3

It really depends on your body, every person is different. As hard as it sounds the trick is to loose the weight slowly and steadily. It is more likely to stay off when you ease up your routine this way. Remember to eat a healthy well balanced diet and stay well hydrated (drink lots of water) or you will find the attempt to over whelming and will be more likely to give up.

You don't sound like you could loose so much without looking anorexic.

good luck from a fellow weight loss friend, i was 200 pounds and am now 145 and still on the way down i did this over 18 months.

I agree with all of the other people - that's way too much at your age - and you should GET THE ADVICE OF A DOCTOR before starting out on anything so drastic.

However, to give you a little bit of information, it generally requires burning somewhere between 3000 and 3500 calories to lose a pound. Burning 400 calories on a treadmill is a darn good workout. So it would take about a year and a half if you were to eat a normal diet and do a 400-calorie workout every day. I know that seems like a long time, but trying to lose a lot of weight fast is VERY dangerous. Please, please, PLEASE see a doctor first!

And also, if you are 5'1" and 140 lbs you do NOT have to lose 60 pounds!!!! 115 pounds would be almost exactly the right weight for your height, and that's a loss of only 25 pounds. SEE A DOCTOR.

3 hours is way too much time...think about 1 hour a day...

dont do that, im 5'1 and weigh more than you but i am older than you. but all you need to do is at least 30 minutes on the tredmill. walking or jogging w/e fits you. im walking because its better for me. but never do 3 hours on the tredmill, you will get bored the first week and will quit your diet/exercise for good. dont do that long. 1 hour at the most daily.

u shoudnt care,i think it dosnt maters,when its warm out go 4 a hike wit some buddys,eat right and most of all have fun doing it. it usually dosnt work if ur heart isnt in it

You're only 11..you shouldn't be doing any type of exercise for 3 hours a day..no one should.
The most time you should spend exercising is half an hour a day.
Just exercise for the half hour each day..cut out junk food..drink lots of water..and in about 5 months you can lose up to 40 pounds.

it all depends on your matabalizm and how fast you run. for a normal person it could take about 2-4 months.

omg 3 hours is too much! Think 30 minutes treadimil other 30 minutes doing things like jumproping and any other cardio. You have to change up your exercise or your body will grow accustom to it and you wont see any results.

I would recommend that you see your family dr. first since you are so young. He or she will be able to provide you with tips and a guideline. With that said, you have to think long-term. I would guess at least a year, based on the fact that you will stick to a strict diet regime and when you workout on the treadmill, you also choose an appropiate level that gets your heart rate up. Also, try alternating your workouts (ex. cardio, yoga etc) because then your workouts will be more enjoyable and you will be more inclined to stick to doing them. 11 yr old girls shouldnt be on the treadmill like that.

talk to your mom, have her take you to the doctor.

well eating healthy is eating three times a day with snacks and doing the readmill 20 mins a day it would probably take about 6 months

exercise is good. but at your age you don't need to over do it. You still have more growing to do. just eat healthy and maybe 30 min a day of walking on the treadmill, and just stay active throughout the day and you will be fine. Its good to take on a HEALTHY life style when your younger that way it will carry on into adult hood. but please don't over do it with so much exercise. talk to your parents about it, just try to cut out the bad stuff, like junk food.

if you lose 60 pnds that would make you 80 pnds.
don't be rediculous. a medium sized dog weighs that.
and 3 hours a day on a treadmill is slavery.
you are 11 years old. your body is going to fluctuate and change so many times over the next few years. don't SWEAT it. go play and make sure to come inside for a peanut butter sandwich at lunch.

Oh my goodness sweetie that's way too much. I'm 15, 5'2 and weigh a lot more than that. 3 hours is not healthy. Do the treadmill for about 30 minutes every other day and the days in between find a fun work out routine. You can find them online or in teen magazines. That's what I do and I'm seeing results.

Why do you want to lose 60 pounds, that is not healthy
