I have a bad rash in my armpits. I have applied aloe vera to it and cocoa butter twice. It will not go away.?

uh one word gross later Morgan

If you have insurance, you should consult a dermatologist before you place anything else under your armpit. It might be an allergic reaction or skin condition.

it's most likely heat rash - which is fungal. Keep the area clean, dry and open to air. Aloe and lotion will not help, so stop applying them. If it's itchy and red, try some hydrocortisone cream (OTC) or gold bond powder. OTC antifungals can also be used (yes, the ones that treat athletes foot and yeast infections!). I would try just keeping it dry and open to air first though and see if it begins to clear up.

Stop with the cocoa butter...in Summer's heat, you need to dry out a joint area with a rash, not moisten it.

Try an over-the-counter anti-fungal powder...CVS drugstore brand is good.

Apply the powder (talc or cornstarch with anto-fungal/anti-bacterial ingredients) in the morning and after bathing at night. Keep your pits dry during the day, changing clothes if need be...and shave your armpits with an electric razor.

could b a fungus, like said above...but, could also be an allergic reaction to something like deodorant. even if u used it for a while, u could still react. use hydrocortizone cream for that...could also be heat. change deodorants anyways. ur body may b telling u time to change it!

have you used a new deodorant or soap or is it because of the heat if you think the heat then use baby powder, new deodorant or soap try cortizone cream

For a precise answer, you need to see a dermatologist.

It's possible that you are having a negative or allergic reaction to your antipersperant or deodorant. Try changing brands, or try an unscented antipersperant first.

try some anti fungual cream + capsules. wait...........consult a skin-specialist first!

You could have a type of allergic reaction known as contact dermatitis. Sometimes it's hard to track down the culprit that causes the rash. It could be your deodorant, certain fabrics, or the detergent and softener used. Some people get ingrown hairs in the area or it could just be a heat rash. Use the rinse cycle on your clothes twice if possible, if you do shave your arm pits, use a sharp blade and go with the grain. Change deodorants. Perhaps those without aluminum could help. Good luck. Keeps the area clean and dry. I hope this helped.

take more cold showers, sounds like you might be a dirtbag.

get the stuff they sell for jock itch

You may have infected hair follicles or ingrown hairs that are infected. There are oral antibiotics and also antibiotic cream for this but must have RX.

I would not bet on fungus, but antifungal cream can be a first step, after two days though, go back to my thoughts. I am right a lot.

It is a fungus. All you need to do is expose it to the sun for 20 to 30 minutes a day for a few days and poof it will be gone.

It's a fungus.

Get some anti-fungal cream.

please consult a skin specialist you might be sensitive to some products

Your deoderant could be the cause. many people are sensitive to deoderants that have aluminum in them. try to find one that does not.

music is my language
i think i got the same thing but it might be cuz ur allegric to some clothin u were. or it mite be fungus.

If your rash is caused by moisture or a fungus infection you could try an antifungal powder like Tinactin. Although I have no reason to believe your rash is serious, proper treatment requires proper diagnosis which can only be obtained by seeing a physician. The rash could be a contact dermatitis which would respond well to a Hydrocortisone cream, but a Hydrocortisone cream would aggravate a fungal rash if you don't treat with an antifungal as well.

joy ride
I have gotten a rash on some occasions under my arms...it is caused by the aluminum found in most under arm deodorants...the brand "SURE" in a aerosol can has no aluminum in there product...try not using under arm deodorant for a few days to see if it goes away!!!
