ROBERTO ALOMAR HAS AIDES!!!!!!
how do you know if you have a blood clot?

the big chief
the doctor at the morgue usually tells your family

TweetyBird
The symptoms depend on where the clot is. Be more specific.

rebecca.suter
depends where you think you have one. But, no matter where it is, you would get very ill very quickly. A blood clot is a very serious thing, and if you think you have one you need to get yourself to a hospital right away.

cant take heat?get the f%&k out!
READ THIS..

Blood clots form do to injury in blood vessels or when you remain seated or in bed for long periods of time because the blood isnt circulating.

To prevent this..you should do leg excercises and wear special stockings.

Says that if its small then most people dont know they have one but if its big then it causes pain and swelling in the affected area.

Good news is..that large blood clots will dissolve if treated early and will cause no long term health problems.

Pain and coldness of the extremity with a clot. It may also change color if being deprived of oxygen

Sudden pain, and redness in area. Warm to the touch. See doctor right away, and they will order a venous doppler, which gives a confirmed diagnosis.

go to the doctors

iceman
Pain, swelling, increased warmth, tenderness, redness. If you suspect one make sure to get it checked out because they can be fatal if the clot moves to the heart.

Um it hurts

Sweettie
It depends on what area of your body it is located. If you have one in your head. You will feel sudden headaches like behind your eye as some other symptoms (check for stroke symptoms on like). If it is in a leg then that area gets red, swollen and tender. But you can have it in some other areas and you will never know unless they run a ct-scan on you. However, the first think you must do is to tell your doctor and he is the right person to answer to your question. But do not worry because worrying is never good to your health (and this is serious).

Go on line and type: blood clot symptoms

You can't know if you don't see a doctor. Some of the symptoms are:

* Pain or discomfort in the chest, shoulders, arm, back, or jaw
* Nausea
* Lightheadedness
* A cold sweat
* Shortness of breath
* Fainting or collapsing
* Pale skin color
* Unusual fatigue

Stephanie F
Is it swollen or red and painful? Those are symptoms. If in doubt, see a doctor right away.

Sometimes you may not have symptoms so if there is any question, get to a doctor.

Recognizing the Symptoms
DVT commonly occurs in just one leg, and symptoms can include any or all of the following:

Pain or tenderness
Swelling, discoloration, or redness
Warmth of the calf or leg
However, in as many as half of all DVT cases, there are no symptoms at all.

People with pulmonary embolism (PE) are more likely to experience symptoms, which can include difficulty breathing accompanied by

Chest pain, rapid pulse, or fainting
Low-grade fever
Cough, with or without bloody sputum
