You need to find an ice cream that is made from fresh ingredients. Many companies buy a powdered milk/sugar mix that just requires adding milk/water.... and this has a lot of additives
Also avoid any ice creams that have add-ins like cookie dough that'll have gluten.. |

Most supermarket ice cream contains mono and diglycerides and is not guaranteed to be gluten-free.
One of my favorites that is gluten-free is Breyers (not all flavors). There are some other premium brands that are gluten-free, you just have to read the labels as carefully as possible.
A lot of Ben & Jerry's flavors are gluten-free as well. |

(but as a note, some manufact. do have undeclared wheat by "accident" due to unannounced ingredient changes from suppliers. I always check the wheat allergy site for products with undeclared wheat! The allergics are really on top of things b/c of the "instant" reaction they get! ) |
