Muscle sore is from the buildup of lactic acid in your muscles
the fastest way for normal sore is just to rub and spread the acid around so it goes away faster.
but depending on the sign you can do different stuff to it.

so (hot, cold, hot) <-- thats 1 cycle do 3 cycles |

As long as you don't have any open wounds, you can sit in a nice hot bath with Epsin Salt, it can be bought at most drug stores. |

Keep any wounds clean, ice any swelling/bruises for 20 minutes, try to not do anything that hurts (duh!) but still stretch a bit so you don't lose your range of motion which is vital in football.
Golden rule:
Rest

Have a banana every day and maybe take moderate Vitamin C supplements.
Keep up your protein intake, too. The body uses protein to rebuild itself. |

Plenty of rest and icing down any injuries, be sure to eat good too, right after you eat be sure to take aspirin or naproxen to keep the swelling down so you don't cause any further injuries.

You can't. Just keep them clean.
You should wash off any debris or dried blood immediately after the injury, then cover it with a clean cloth, bandage, whatever. Keep checking for any oozing, puss, fever or chills. These are signs of infection.
A really good diet with lots of protein (not high protein, like those protein drinks) will help your immune system to stay healthy.
When it comes to bruises, time will heal them . In the meantime, count them as "battle wounds." |
