how fast your blood flows, i thnk.
42 seconds agoBlood pressure is the pressure (force per unit area) exerted by circulating blood on the walls of blood vessels, and constitutes one of the principal vital signs. The pressure of the circulating blood decreases as it moves away from the heart through arteries and capillaries, and toward the heart through veins. When unqualified, the term blood pressure usually refers to brachial arterial pressure: that is, in the major blood vessel of the upper left or right arm that takes blood away from the heart. Blood pressure may, however, sometimes be measured at other sites in the body, for instance at the ankle. The ratio of the blood pressure measured in the main artery at the ankle to the brachial blood pressure gives the Ankle Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI).

The pressure that the blood exerts on your veins..like the pressure of water going through your garden hose. To much pressure and the hose will break or leak.

It is the rate or force that the blood travels through the body; such
as fast (high) or slow ( low).
b.Volumetric measurement of blood flow; systolic (top)reading; and
diastolic (bottom) reading.

A measure of how hard blood is pressing against artery walls. Blood pressure is recorded as two numbers: the top number is called systolic pressure and the bottom number is called diastolic pressure. If blood pressure is above 140/90 mm Hg,it is considered to be a high blood pressure. Another definition: the force with which the heart pumps blood. Normal blood pressure is 120/80.

To put it simply; blood pressure is the force exerted by blood against walls of the vessels in which it is contained, it's measured in MM of Mercury.

It's given as two numbers. The top number is the systolic pressure. This is the pressure in the arteries when the heart contracts. The bottom number is the diastolic pressure. This is the pressure in the arteries when the heart is at rest (between each heart beat).

Optimal BP is <120/80.
