depends on how old are you first, then there are others factors that could be taken in consideration.

Wendy C
Your heart rate should be 60-100.

Resting heart rate:
Babies to age 1:
100–160
Children ages 1 to 10:
60–140
Children older 11 to 17:
60–100
Adults:
60–100
Well-conditioned athletes:
40–60

A fast heart rate may be caused by:
Activity or exercise.
Anemia.
Decongestants.
Fever.
Heart disease.
An overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism).
Medicine used to treat asthma.
Stimulants such as caffeine, amphetamines, diet pills, and cigarettes.
Stress.

You should see your physician about this.

Best wishes.

Normal resting heart rate should be between 60-100 beats per minute. You should see your physician.

I wouldn't call it normal if your at rest. Over 100 in an adult is called tachycardia. You need to bring it to the attention of your doctor.

Keep records on your pulse rate so that you can provide it to them.

Regards.

Mark M
It's good to be concerned about your tachycardia. No, a resting pulse of 136 is definitely not normal, as others have said. You should keep track of when this hapens and get a doctor's appointment ASAP, preferably with a cardiologist, but a GP will suffice.

In the mean time, cutting out caffeine and alcohol may help.

Your doctor will want to take an EKG and may also have you wear a monitor for a day to see what is happening when your tachycardia arises.
