Heart surgeons are not treated differently for pay to other surgeons. The NHS has a pay scale and I think the most senior surgeons and consultants negotiate a contract. However, I think that a senior surgeon can expect to earn between £80,000 and £150,000pa. If contracted full-time to the NHS, they may also spend 10% of their time treating private patients.

There's no such thing as a 'heart surgeon' as such. If you mean cardiologist, then they can get anything from £60,000 upwards: more in private practice. It depends on their reputation, which branch of cardiology they specialise in, etc.
