What is a normal blood pressure for a 16 year old female?
Is 120/68 okay? where should i be around? and what do the 2 numbers mean?

Libra Girl
Your bottom number should be around 80. Are you drinking enough water?

Eagles Fan Since 1986
i would say its good

It is in the normal side, the Range is below 120 for systolic or the number above and below 80 on the diastolic or number below. It used to be below 130/85, but they change the chart for some reason.
Blood pressure is measure by the force(pressure) blood puts on blood vessels while its passing through them. The systolic is when the heart beats, and the diastolic is when the heart relaxes.

The average “normal” blood pressure for a sixteen year old female would be between 90/60 to 120/80. You requested information about these figures and I present it here for you - Blood pressure results from two forces. One is created by the heart as it pumps blood into the arteries and through the circulatory system. The other is the force of the arteries as they resist the blood flow. The higher (systolic) number represents the pressure while the heart contracts to pump blood to the body. The lower (diastolic) number represents the pressure when the heart relaxes between beats. The systolic pressure is always stated first. For example: 118/76 (118 over 76); systolic = 118, diastolic = 76. Blood pressure below 120 over 80 mmHg (millimeters of mercury - because most blood-pressure machines(sphygmomanometers) use mercury to measure the pressure) is considered optimal for adults. The pressure reading that you quote is within the normal range for a female of 16 years.

Hope this helps

Friend; do not worry too much, those readings are normal, very few people get.
Do not believe what every body says, talk to your doctor, and you will find out, you are in the regular range.
So be a little happier with my advice.

Good blood pressure is somewhere around 120-130/70
You're fine.

Below 130/80 is considered healthy. Above that you start getting into prehypertensive and hypertensive, which just means high blood pressure. At 120/68 I'd say you are a healthy individual. If your blood pressure drops too low (below 100/60) you may experience dizziness when rising from sitting or lying down. This can be caused by dehydration. Not everyone experiences this and some people are able to tolerate low blood pressures. Where you're at right now is fine though. Hope this helps.

Normal blood pressure is what ever your body decides that it should be. Blood pressure is just a number. If you lower the pressure, your body will just increase the heart rate, to supply the blood that is needed. Trust your body, especially at your age.
