We can't tell you based on these numbers. You could be big-boned or small-boned, or the weight could be muscle or fat. Without this information, we can't tell you.

your bmi is 17.4 which is said to be underweight, and you can check your BMI here, http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmicalc.htm , but you sound fine to me, just eat more food, but healthy choices, and work out 3-4 times a week on low intensity.

It depends on what your BMI is. Your BMI, which stands for body mass index, is the measurement of your weight in relation to your height. Your BMI depends on several factors, including your age. Are you a teen or an adult? To get accurate and precise results, you can go to this website http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/adult_BMI/english_bmi_calculator/bmi_calculator.htm.

Some extra info...
Underweight = below 18.5
Normal = 18.5 - 24.9
Overweight = 25 - 29.9
Obese = 30 or higher

After you figure out what your BMI is, decide what kind of diet you need. If you are underweight, increase your intake on calories everyday, but make sure that those calories come from foods that are good for you. Junk foods or greasy foods are not the way to go - they tend to have lots of unhealthy trans fat or saturated fat.

You can obtain healthy fats by eating foods such as tuna, salmon, flaxseed, and walnuts. It's also important to eat foods that have lots of protein, like lean meats, fish, poultry, nuts, seeds and legumes. And of course, don't forget the carbohydrates. Include healthy fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in your diet. It also might be better for you to eat several small meals during the day (five or six) instead of three big meals.

Remember to exercise. For gaining weight, work on building up your muscle mass (example: weight lifting). Aerobic exercise (running, jogging, bicycling) is done more for losing weight.

Doing all of these things for one week won't make a difference. So keep going, and don't stop just to reach your desired weight, but to achieve a goal of having a healthy body, too.

yes you are skiny, but you're young...you'll fill out one day. As for the people makingfun of you - they're just jealous. Ignore them. And look into modeling. It can't hurt & you've got the body so why not? Maybe those "chicken legs" will make you millions. Or at the least maybe modeling will help you gain confidence.

DON'T eat more fat. Eating unhealthy has long term ratifications of making you more susceptible to diseases such as cancer and diabetes. Do think about weight training and protein intake. I have always been a skinny girl too, and I'm working on strengthening my body with weightlifting and sports. It feels great and it is great for you!

Go to the gym and work out. You'll work up an appetite, grow muscles, but stay slim at the same time.

Depends on your bone structure.

I am 6' and weigh 150 but I have a petite frame so I am fine.

My eldest is 5.5 and weighs 102 with a very petite frame is also fine.

that is underweight for you height, but alot of girls are naturally thin. all my life i've been underweight for my height.

if anything i would suggest a diet higher in protein instead of fat. more protein along with some exercise will build some muscle and put on a few healthy pounds, whereas a diet high in fat will just make you gain the wrong kind of weight and make you unhealthy.

but i'm sure you look great the way you are, so i really wouldn't even worry about it.

I am 5' 6" also so I have checked what the ideal weight is for our height it is actually abot 115 to 130ish lbs. I bet you look okay the way you are. I am in the 130 ish & want to loose a little myself.

First off, low fat doesn't always mean low calorie. Low fat is good, low calorie is bad. Keep that in mind.

And I would say that at 5'6" you are little on the light side. I'd say you should be about 115 - 120.

You need to increase calories not fat. You should weigh about 125. A milk shake made with Carnation Instant Breakfast will add nutrition as well as calories.

Well, depends on why you want to do this and what you are eating now. For example, if you are eating until you fill full and no more, thats fine. If your eating this way to make yourself to look "attractive" you should stop. Truthfully, guys dont like girls that look like toothpicks. They tent to have flat chest, flat bums and are be self centered. I perfer a girl of your height, so you got that working for you, with a little weight on her. Not fat by any means but enough to fill out parts of her clothes that someone in your weight class would not be able to. Sorry but I am not sure what a good weight for you would be as far as attractiveness goes, but I have seen girls that are 115 and 5' 2" to be about the right proportion. Maybe that is a bit heavy, maybe a bit light. Everyone is different, muscle is very heavy so it can throw things off a bit.
If you are happy with yourself, there will be someone out there that will find you so ******* attractive he wont give a second thought about your weight.
It all depends on why you want to become a different weight.



The person below me has sorta the wrong idea, in fact many people that have answered do. They are telling you to eat healthy and exercise to gain wait! Yeah right! I could get so full before I would put on a pound. It is a delicate balance of bad and good foods and near to none exercise.

Don't listen to people that sound like they know much on the topic of "weight gaining". I assure you that weight gaining is about the least thought of things in any Americans head. Take it from someone who didn't copy and past garbage; Eating the way you have has made the body you will see for the rest of your life. Do you want to change that?
