When you don't eat much can it cause your blood sugar to be high?
So, i hadn't had much to eat all weekend, and can it cause your blood sugar to go up, but JUST because of that reason?

Erm no - when you don't eat your blood sugar drops! It's called hypoglycaemia, if you let it get really extreme due to starvation. completely got that the wrong way round there hunny.

When you don't eat much, it is ok but not don't eat, it is not right ----need control eating only.

Blood sugar will go high depends on many factors according to your body condition. That is individual problem and you have to understand it yourself ---not sure, ask your doctor.

I am a distributor of GT&F Milk Powder in S'pore and it is one of the best in dueling with Diabetic sickness. To normalise the blood sugar and be normal person, just take a sachet of milk powder or a capsule a day and you will not be hungry for 4 hours before you need food. Very simple & very easy. If need to know more, get in touch to get details.

It CAN cause your blood sugars to go up, but usually only as a last-ditch effort by your body to get glucose to your brain. After that, your sugars will just continue to drop. You can have a hypoglycemic attack after prolonged periods of not eating, and glucagon isn't usually much help in those situations because it helps draw out your body's own store, which is depleted in cases of extreme fasting or starvation. You should be fine, though, if it was only a couple of days and you did eat something.

There is a certain number of diabetics that can have higher blood sugar when they don't eat- my hubby is one of them. The highest his blood sugar is in the morning, after going all night without eating- so it can happen it is called the dawn phenomenon. I also notice when he does not eat much lunch, before dinner, his level has gone up.

Skatin'
Well, there is this thing that can happen if you aren't eating where your liver puts glucose into your blood stream to keep you from getting too low. In non-diabetics it raises your blood sugar just enough but in diabetics it can give you a high blood sugar because it's too much glucose. That's the reasoning behind "dawn phenomenon".
