Lung cancer
Lung cancer is the most common cancer in the world with 1.2 million new cases diagnosed every year. [6] Until recently, lung cancer was the most frequently occurring cancer in the UK; it has now been overtaken by breast cancer but it still accounts for 1 in 7 new cancer cases, that is, around 38,400 new patients annually.

For sure lung cancer is the most common one for smokers, with 1.2 million new cases diagnosed every year.
then comes the oral cancers, in which 90% of patients used to smoke tobacco either by smoking or chewing, anyway oral cancer include lips, throat and tongue.
however their number is not as numerous as lung cancers.

silver d
I think lung cancer is the most common, but to guess will not work! If you need the true response you'd better search for it in medical books!

i would say lung cancer. and i am taking health classes in school right now. smoking affects lungs the most in the body. lung cancer is most common among those who smoke.

LuluBelle
Lung cancer, then throat cancer. Any cancer in the neck and above is quite common for smokers.

charlene_mueller
Lung and throat. Oral is more for the dippers or chewers, but is not totally out of the question.

It's not that simple. A person who is a heavy smoker and drinker is most likely to get esophageal cancer (cancer of and around the esophagus). Oral cancer is more common in people who chew tobacco or smoke cigars. Cigarette smokers are at high risk for lung cancer, of course, but other factors such as alcohol intake, working conditions and heredity have effects also.
