For the first two-three years of your period, it will be irregular. Spotting is normal and so is an extended cycle. Don't worry! Just keep extra supplies with you in case it comes when you aren't expecting it.

Sometimes period takes a lot to come and that is normal. If you are not sexually active you don't have to worry. Yes, that spots might be your period. Don't worry.

when you are young and you first start your period, it is normal for it to be irregular. it might skip for a few months and you might have some "spotting" (what you described). for some girls it will take a little while for their bodies to get on a normal cycle with a normal flow.

More than likely this is your period. I had a few friends go thru the same thing.. had it once and then not see it for quite a while. Because you just started it's going to be a little spotty here and there. Don't worry you are completely normal.

It could be or it could be an indication that your period is coming soon. When I first got my period, it was really light and irregular for awhile. Don't worry about it though since stress can also cause your period to be late.

It's totally normal. I had my first period in 7th grade, and didn't have it again for another 8 months.
The spotting probably isn't your period. Women get spotting sometimes, it's pretty normal. When you get your period, you need a tampon or pad. That's how you know.

It's normal. It happened to me.
Especially when you first get it, your periods will be irregular. Which really sucks because theres more of a chance to have those "oops" moments.
Don't worry about it too much. If you don't get it within a week or two, then you might want to see a doctor. Chances are, nothing is wrong. But to ease your mind a little, and to just be on the safe side, you might want too.
I got my first period at the age of twelve. I didn't get the second one for about 5 weeks later.
It's never been regular, i've always gotten it on different times. Sometimes it takes months, sometimes I get it twice in one month. It's normal, just depends on your cycle.
Most people (I would guess) are normal, and get it every month on time. (some get it the exact same time every single month!). For me, i've never been regular, it's just the way I am.
For the first maybe six months atleast, you probably won't have a regular cycle. If you continue for a year without having a regular cycle, you're probably never going to get one.
If it bugs you not having a regular cycle, they have birth control you can get on to regulate it. I just live with it. It's nice on those times where I go two months with no period!
(btw, i'm 17 now. this is my 5th year of having irregular cycles! && I only go for about 3-5 days!)

Sometimes it takes a while for periods to become regular. Don't worry. The light blood spots may be all you get this month. Or it could mean more is on the way. It is hard to tell. We all are different and periods vary a lot. Asking is how you learn, so just keep on asking!

Totally normal. Periods take ages to settle down to a proper rhythm after you first start. If you're not having sex, you're not using it as a measure to see if you're pregnant, so regularity isn't that important righ now. Just carry tampons or towels with you in case!

Don't sweat it, this is normal. My actually took YEARS to get onto a normal schedule. You can expect a lot of spotting before your period, but this will stop once you get into a regular cycle. Try to keep track on a calander and you may find a cycle, it could be 45 days apart or something. More than likely, you will be irregular for quite a while. Oh the joys of becoming a woman!!Lol

It might just be a bit late. Give it a bit more time. Your body could also just be reacting and changing (I've been in similar situation where period was 2 weeks late for no obvious reason)

yes, it is normal. It might be this way for the next few months and then eventually it will become more regular. Some periods are sporadic at best and very light for the first little bit. My daughter is going through that right now, she s the same way. don't worry, enjoy it while it lasts because it won't be like this forever!

Yep, I think its your period. Since you've just started you may be a little irregular. Meaning the spotting you've had two days ago. When I first started I had a full period but then I didn't see it for a couple of months, then it came every month on time. When your mother gets back talk to her and then maybe the two of you could make a visit to the Gynecologist together to get more information and to get an exam to make sure everything is alright with you.
Congratulations, you are a member of the Women's Club.

Yep, very normal. It could take several years for your body to develop a rhythm and have regular cycles. As long as you aren't sexually active (thereby eliminating a chance of pregnancy) you have nothing to worry about.
"...Most of the time, irregular periods are part of the normal changes that can happen when you're a teen. At some point as you grow, your cycle will probably settle into a recognizable pattern. This usually happens by 3 years after your first period...."

That is ok.
When you first start your period it will not be regular for at least a year. So you're not really ' missing' your period. As for the drops, it could possibly be your period or it cold just be break through bleeding - bleeding between periods - which does occur sometimes.

no its totally normal. the first year of your period is totally irregular, sometimes even only 4 times a year. the blood spots may be your period or just discharge, which is the body's way of letting the gunk out. lol. hope this helps. periods suck =(
