Notice all the men say no but the truth is that why they have six week healing time so everything will have the chance to go back to normal. Six weeks is important if you are really worried about it being different.

You don't need to worry about such things. Enjoy having a healthy pregnancy. And if you are having natural childbirth, the first child may stretch this area a little. There are special exercises for that if this worries you too much.

i was wondering the same thing as i am 16 weeks pregnant and it was a big concern to me.
being a woman, your body is made to accomidate a baby... it is also made to dialate to about 10 cm
as the muscles open up for your delivery
they will close back to almost exactly the same size
and yes the kegal excersizes will definately help.
and you should not have sex for about 6 weeks after
to allow it to have time to go back...
although it is unlikely you will since u will be bleeding during that time period anyways.
and to all those immature people who are telling her she will be a loosey goosey grow up because your obviously either stupid or trying to worry her and if your vagina was loose after a pregnancy then you mustve been loose to begin with or did something i just said not to

Depends on your individual muscle tone, etc. Shrinkage back to normal or near normal is common, but then again, it might not. Ask your mom or grandmother if theirs returned to normal. It's combination of YOUR body and genetics (to a point). Elasticity is common, though. Will it be exactly the same? Probably not. Will it be big enough to drive a Volkswagen into? again, probably not.

Most often it is stretched by the birth and that is a disadvantage, particularly for the male. Understanding physicians may suture certain areas in the vagina to allow for a tighter fit for the man, since they have some real hangups about their size.

No. it won't. Neither will your breasts. It might come close with exercises but it won't be the same.
Edit: Yes, it's a muscle like some people are saying. But muscles are like rubber bands, and once they are stretched out they are never as tight as they once were. They might come close but never are the same. Any woman who believes otherwise is deluding themselves.

NOPE!!!!!
It goes back to it's normal size, but it will never be as tight.
When you are able, you might want to try kegel exercises twice a day for like a few months. But no, it's never the same- for you or for him....

well, after delivery it's usually recommended to refrain for up to 6 weeks to facilitate healing. It doesn't stay stretched out, maybe just a little looser than before. Kegel exercises do wonders, start them about a week after birth. I actually think that sex has been better since kids... more sensitive!
