If it means that much to you, go on the pill. That way you can skip the sugar tablets and go on to the next packet, avoiding your period for that month!

You shouldn't let your period make you plan things differently. Maybe you should go and visit your GP and ask to be put on the pill. I've been on the pill for that reason only, the pill does more than protect you. You may find that the pill dosent work and that you will have to try other medication. but honestley dont let your period stop you from doing things when you want to do them :)

No. I just grab some Aleve...and my PEARLS. Life is too short to worry about "AUNT FLOW" ruining my holidays.

Oh no don't give up a good time because of it.
The uncomfortable part will only last a day.
Have some warm tea, cuddle up with a heating pad, some Ibuprofen and a bag of M&Ms...you will be better in no time.

taterbug5252
No, I just go with the flow LOL

hell yess. it's really annoying walking around a city and you have to find public restrooms and it's uncomfortable being on the beach or going swimming. also i tend to be really moody so i might not even enjoy the vacation.

TMFULP.
it depends on where im going to.
if i am going to an island or generally a place with beaches etc etc of course i will try and avoid the week i have my period when i plan the dates.
when im going somewhere where there is no option of me getting any swimming done i dont really care.
some people have alot of pains and are uncomfortable so
i would advise you if you are one of them to try
and set the dates avoiding ur period days.
have a good time if u are planning to go anywhere = ]

I was always irregular so it was always difficult to plan anything, although I always tried to avoid holidays if I could. The thing is it never worked out. I think there's something about going away that alters your calender. lol

yup, mine knocks me off my feet the first day. bad cramps, backaches, stomach issues, migraines, and fatigue. Even my boss notices and lets me take off early those days.

BandGeek94
No, moving around more helps the cramps and stuff. I don't really think about it when I plan holidays. It doesn't really bother me. It's just a fact of life for girls so I try to just live with it. I get horrible cramps though so I know how you feel.

Yes. Otherwise my family and I would be going CRAZY if I were to be on my period while at the beach or something, and that wouldn't be too fun, now would it?

Ruthie
pfft no, the fact that I'm a woman and have this monthly cycle doesn't hold me back from anything! I just use a tampon pop in a few midol and I'm good to go! :D

Yes i do. always! and speaking of, I recently came back from vacation and i made to plan it on a week i knew that my period would never come. There is nothing that terrible about being on vacation with your period, but if you have cramps, bloating etc... it will definately alter your mood and the ability to fully relax.

haha! That's funny, my period comes twice a month! And not at regular intervals either, I couldn't if I wanted to!

(And yes, I'm a little bitter about it too)

I always try to plan trips and activities when I'm not on my period.

I just go along what life brings me. and deal with it.

AJR
Usually I attempt to, if I have a choice. I use Oral Contraceptives though, so I always know when I will have my period. Sometimes you can't plan around your period, and when that happens you just make the best of it. You're period really shouldn't slow you down that much.

no i don't let that ruin my life...

I bring my Ibuprofen and my tampax pearls with me, and I'm good to go anywhere!

Lout Rampage
Yes, I planned my wedding around my cycle so I wouldn't be on my period on the honeymoon. That's really the only time I have done that though.

Rhianna
No, life must go on.

edit
If you have horrible cramps etc and it's interfering with your life then you should consider seeing your GP..who may consider putting you on the pill..which may ease things a little. Don't suffer in silence.
