I was 16 and surely unready for the consequences. There are law limits, but I really don't think any age you are actually ready. My best friends daughter lost hers at 14, and did it just to see what it felt like. For years we would talk about it, and I would tell her, make it precious, for it is a gift that women can only give once in a lifetime; make it special, and she never did. I now instil that philosophy in my daughter. I plan on getting her a promise ring. She is now 13, and knows she is not ready.

When you can properly deal financially, emotionally, and physically with a child or any number of STDs, THAT is when you are ready to lose your virginity.

ANYTHING UNDER 15!
all i have to say other than that is that people should not lose their virginity just so they can become non-virgins, but they should lose it cus they deeply feel passionate and loving to the person.
and if you do so. then you will feel great about yourself for a long time!

Whichever comes last between 16 years old or when you are mentally ready to handle the consequences such as pregnancy, STDs, emotions.
Put another way, if you think you are ready from a consequence standpoint but you are not 16 yet, wait. If you are 16 but not ready to handle the consequences, wait.

It is too early to lose your virginity when you have not made goals for your life. Having sex is for those who are of mature age and mind. If you have not graduated from high school you should focus on school work, hobbies, maybe an after school job and/or other teen activities. If you are feeling pressure to have sex, change the people you are hanging out with. Remember the popular kids in school now are having their glory now. Many of them won't amount to much after high school. So resist sex if someone is pressuring you to fit in with a certain group.
If you are not in high school, you should still have goals for your life. How will having sex fit into those goals? Are you ready for the responsibilities of a child or family if that results from your sexual activity? Is the person you are considering really worthy of your body? Your body is truly a temple and should be treated as such. What is your motivation to have sex? Think seriously about all these questions. Of course the decision will be yours, but do not enter into a sexual relationship casually. Think it through, there are many repercussions.

I don't think there is a certain age as long as your not under 15. A lot of people lose their virginity but it should be special and with someone you really care about and really willing to take the risk of loosing your virginity because there is guys out there who just want your virginity and once they do, they end up leaving you. I experienced the same thing and regert it so much but mistakes happens and i wished i waited.

its ok to have it at 13 because today's 13 year olds now alot more about the world and these stuff than the previous generations plus most of them are emotionally and physically mature enough.
and for the adults: i may be young but i know what love, commitment, and pleasure is.

I think that under the age of 16 is a definate no-no and that you treat your virginity with respect and not do 'it' because every1 else is. I think 18 and older is appropriate. I also think that your maturity plays a big role.

It depends on individual...
Virginity is very precise to many and one should loose it to some one whom you love and care for through out life.

its too early, if you are not ready.
it is also too early if you dont have the right protection.
the only way you can tell if you are ready to do that, and if it is too early, is by you.
you will have a gut feeling of whether it is right or not.

i dont think there is any
"wrong" time to lose it.... its whenever you feel emotionally ready... dont listen to the hormones.
wait till you are in love.. your virginity is something you can never get back, so make sure you share it with someone that you trust your life with. ...also, make sure you are on birth control as well. It takes 1 month of starting the pill before it becomes effective, so that gives you a lil extra time for you to think about what you want to do.
