He will make you pee in a glass to test your HCG which will show if you have the "pregnant" hormone. Then he will do the regular testings if you are pregnant; weight, bloodtests and so on.
You can probably ask for an ultrasound, but I dont know if you'll get it. He will have to have the equipment in his office. Not all doctors have.

They can do a simple urine test, or they can do a blood test to see what your blood count is. It all depends...
If you are early on in your pregnancy, there is really no need for an ultrasound unless you are having complications.... and it's expensive too.
Some insurances will only allow so many ultrasounds that are not done for a serious reason.

they'll get a urine specimen, and if its positive then they'll do a blood test and/or ultrasound to see how far along you are.

Your doctor will give you a pregnancy test to determine if you are PREGNANT. If you are pregnant then your doctor will refer you to a OBGYN. You will have many visits to the OBGYN doctor.

They will give you a urin test to look for hormones that indicate that you are pregnant. If it is positive, they will try to figure out the most accurate date of conception through asking you questions like the date of your last manstural period. They may also examine your uterus by pushing gently on your stomache to see how big it is. This will help them determine how far alone you are. Most doctors will schedule you for an ultra sound within the next 2-4 weeks after the initial positive test to determine an exact due date and to see if there are any complications or issues that need to be looked at. Good Luck.

O.k. they'll check your urine if your not 4 months along then they cant usually do an ultrasound. One of my good friends was about 3 months along and she thought she miscarried so she went to the hospital and they had to fill her up with saline before they could give her an ultrasound, but they good news is technology is improved in most doctor offices so if your just wanting to hear a heart beat then they can do that there if your not too far along then there is no point in a ultrasound it will just look like a big blob!

No, they typically don't do ultrasounds unless there's a suspected problem or if you're like 10 weeks (I think)>

You'll have to pee in a cup. You won't need an ultrasound until you've been pregnant for awhile and there is actually something to see...

typically, a blood or urine test is done to show pregnancy.
an ultrasound in early pregnancy doesn't usually show much unless it's a high level ultrasound, which most dr offices don't have.
an ultrasound isn't usually done until about 8-10 wks and then, it is a vaginal ultrasound. this ultrasound usually measures the baby to help determine growth and gestation.
good luck at dr's and take care.

You can't just go and get an ultrasound. You either have to be at least 6 months along which is when they first do one, or have complications with the pregnancy.

No, you dont usually get an ultrasound until around 3 months. And they dont generally do one on the spot unless its an emergency or they have concerns. They usually set you up an appt. for around that time. They will do a urine test or a blood test to see if you are pregnant. Urine results are instant..many times you have to wait a few days on the bloodwork.

They will do a pregnancy test first, probably a urine test. You can certainly ask for an ultrasound when you get there.

Your doctor will probably take blood to see if you are pregnant. Not everyone will have a positive urine test if they are pregnant. Sometimes the hormone does not show in urine. Your doctor will ask when your last period was and any other health issues that may be the cause of you not having a period. Your doctor may also do a pelvic exam. Ultrasound comes in later. Hope this helps. Take care!!!

He will have you take the same test that you can buy a Wal Mart or any other place. It will cost a lot less. If you are pregnant then see the Dr. No ultra sound at this point. Needless test cost a lot, and sometimes are not good for the baby.

you will have to pee in a cup to test your hormone levels, and some docs do a blood test as well. they won't give you an ultrasound until there is something big enough to see (I forget which month, but I think the first one is around 16 weeks or so), or if you are having a problem (ie pain, cramps, etc)
good luck (if that's what you want)
