No one can say exactly when a girl will get her first menstrual period, but usually girls will get it some time during puberty.
Some girls start puberty at age 9 or 10 where others may start as late as age 15 or 16. Each girl goes at her own pace. So don't think that it's a bad thing or that something is wrong if your friends start puberty a little earlier/later than you.
At the beginning of puberty, you'll notice that your breasts are developing and you're starting to grow a little hair under your arms. Hair also will grow on your genitals (pubic hair). In some girls, the time from the beginning of puberty to getting the first menstrual period may take only 6 months, where as for other girls, it may take longer and can take up to 3 years.
Every girl is different, and there is a wide range of normal development during puberty.
All I can say is that you should be patient, it will happen when your body is ready.
I got my period when I was 13 (I’m 26 now).
Good luck :)

average range is 9-16 years.
tell her not to worry and she will know when it will come. probably not too soon but you never know. i got mine when i was about to turn 13. anyway, for a lot of girls, a couple weeks before you actually get it, there is a little bit of blood taht you will see on your bath tissue after using the toilet. this is not your period but you will get it soon. after this she should start wearing pads just in case. the blood lasts one day and maybe just once in that day but she should get prepared. she will probably get pains in her lower stomach not crazy pains at first but pinches and such. she might get a headache, become sore.
yeah it pretty much sucks and guys dont know how lucky they are

I started at 11 and if I remember correctly I had bad stomach pain for about 2 days before they started. Everyone is different some girls get to 13 before they start. They will come in time and then she will be wishing like the rest of us that they would just dissappear.

ummm one thing you can do is asked ur mom when she got hers. she MIGHT get it the same age. if she already has hairs in the vag. like i mean DRK hair. then her period should start 1 to 2 years later. the symptomes are craps or stomach aches in the lower parts, headache, and you feel bloated or fat. and you can get it when your 8-18 or so.. hope i helped

Some start as early as 9 some as late as 16 or 17. Every girls is different, but it usually starts about 2 years after the breast start to develop, some sooner, some later. Some things may delay a period, like extremely athletic girls.
Here's a good website for her to read

There is no "correct" age. Some get it as early as 10/11 and some others as late as 14/15.
Girls with steep-dads and living in urban areas tend to get it earlier.
There are no symptoms. Just tell her to tell her mother or guardian if she notices any blood.
She should be told by a parent or guardian what she could expect.

It depends on the girl. I got mine when I was 11, and my cousin got hers at 10. It also is sort of close to the age which siblings or your mother got it. So tell your sister when you got yours. You can also determine if her breasts are starting to develop, and she has pubic hair which are signs that she's getting close.

I got mine when I was 14. Tell her they suck. And a great symptom to know it's coming in like a day or two is if you get sick. I fainted right before mine first started.
