I have a friend who didn't start til she was 15, and another friend who is really small and didn't start her periods til she was 16. She's fine, she'll come on when her body is ready. MINTY	I started really late!! I think I was about 16 or so. I know that girls these days seem to be starting to menstruate and develop earlier and earlier, but every girl is different. I was always really skinny, so I think that was a factor. Ethinicity, diet, and genetics all play a part. I think the average age in the US is about 12. I remember I used to be obsessed about when I would get it too! As long as she is healthy, she will be fine. It will come when she least expects it. And then she will wish she never got it, lol!! ladeda03	it varies from person to person. Usually the daughter will get her period around the same time the mother did when she was young. But if you are truly concerned talk to your daughters physician. But remember if she hasn't gotten her period when she's 16 you should really go to the doctor that's about the maximum time to wait til she has gotten it. hope this helped! Gymnastics Freak	The average age is 12 1/2 but some girls don't start until they are 16 and that is normal. U should have ur daughter go to this website beinggirl.com it helped me.
