It depends on your body. And it'll catch you when you least expect it. I started on my birthday. Not fun.

I'm not sure what you mean by you having all the signs, what signs?
Young girls generally start their first period after some breast development and after they have some underarm and public hair.
One sign you're getting close to your first period is if you have thick, white mucous discharge coming from your vagina. Usually, this happens about 6 months before you get your first period.
No two periods are exactly alike. They can last from 2 days to a week. Some have very heavy periods with monthly cramps, and others have much lighter periods after the first couple of days.
As to when exactly you will have your first period, there is no sure fire way to know. You usually will not have cramping and other physical symptoms until you actually start your period, and you may not have any cramping.

well no one can well you for sure when.
even now that i have my period its not always exactly 28 days... periods are kinda unpredictable like that.
some say that it can take up to a year after you start devoloping on top. normally before periods your acne might start to worsen, and you get cravings and cramps. but since this would be your first period it is likely for it so be even more irregular.
the fact is no, no one can tell you when your period will be, they cant even give you an accurate time fame since this is ur first. sorry :)
but i can tell you to enjoy the time you have. i know you want to be like your friends who have thier period or just really start to "mature" but you can ask any women, periods are NOT fun. it hurts, your grumpy and icky. rly when you have yours you will see it is a lot less glamourous than you would think.

It's probably not the best answer but you kinda just have to wait it out and see. Usually pms (Pre-menstrual Syndrome) kicks in so you get all moody and some girls even get acne or their body starts acting different. It varies from girl to girl. These symptoms can come as early as two weeks and so forth.
As for how long it may last? Well that's up to your own body.
Just make sure to carry pads around at least in a hidden pouch and a fresh pair of underwear and a small bag to put any ruined undergarments if that may be the case.
PS. watch out for cramps. All I can say is Advil and pamprin is a girl's bestfriend. goodluck!

The first one usually occurs when its a full moon, or whenever a dogs around. And probably lasts about a month or two of just straight bleeding.

Okay, it sounds like a broken record, but "everyone is different" and "stock up on pads." Here's some more, if you can, ask your mom or older sister, because their experiences might give you an idea what to expect. Luckily, a girl's first period is usually pretty light, and not bright red (sorry for the gross factor--but you wanted to know). It sounds weird, but if you get a weird feeling stomachache--kind of like you have to go to the bathroom, but also kind of different--it might be the start of cramps and that might fill you in to head to the bathroom and see what is going on. Just keep "supplies" with you and don't worry. If it happens at school, tell your teacher you need to go see the nurse for personal reasons--she should have extra supplies should you need them.

When you say signs do you mean your back hurts or you have cramps or your chest hurts??
When I am a week away from my period I get moody...then I get bloated
when I am a couple days away my chest feels like it's going to fall off...it feels like my chest are two bolders! LOL the nipples feel like someone has them in a clamp
When I am about 24 hours away I get cramps...
But everyone is different...but this is what happends to me I hope that helps you! :)

I used to anticipate having mine too! I remember hoping I would get one and thinking that any little discharge ment that I would be having it soon.
I didnt have mine until I was 14. Im pretty sure it was because I was always very active and skinny so I had mine late...
Usually if you are thin you will have yours later than other girls who are heavier weights, so that could be one reason you have not had one yet.
Plus, TRUST ME,.....you are in no hurry to get it...Its not as great as you think!
Good luck, hope you get it if thats what you want!

well there are 3 periods in a hockey game which are 20 min long and i hate the halftimes after the periods , now i understand why your asking questions about periods because i cant stand them you have to wait like another 15 to 20 min before the game comes back on and it sucks but i like going for snakes and stuff at halftime

Depends on what the signs are.
Just be prepared--talk to your mom or sister or another woman you're close to, and have a stock of pads or tampons in your bathroom and one or two in your purse in case you get it while you're out someplace.

Everyone is different you cant really tell when your going to get it until you're regular which even then you cant tell sometimes. It could happen tomorrow it could happen next year. But always be prepared because it normally comes when you least expect it.

It is different for everyone. It could be a week out or maybe a little longer. The actual period itself usually lasts anywhere between 5-7 days. The best thing to do is be prepared for when mother nature decides to come calling. Have a few tampons or pads in your purse and maybe and extra pair of panties in case you start while you are out somewhere. Make sure you have plenty of pads or tampons at home to last throughout the span of nature. Good luck to you and I hope this helps you some.

Honestly...there really is no predicting when because i had all the signs for 2 years before i got mine......my mom got hers in 8th grade and i'm only going in 6th this year.....like sometimes if you even have cramps, they are false alarms because i think period cramps feel differently than normal cramps like if you are running......I wish i could help but all i can really say is be patient i got my first one like 3 weeks ago...nothing really exciting....just sort of a pain in the butt.

Keep in mind that this is new for your body. The first time may last up to seven days. Followed by irregular cycles. meaning that there will be months when you will not have a period at all. I strongly suggest a calander to keep track.

Sorry, but it's a waiting game. Each girl is different. Sorry if that's frustrating to hear. But there isn't any type of perfect timing for when you'll get your period. When it happens, it happens... In the mean time, stock up on pads.
