depends when your body is ready for it...it will only start THEN. normally around 11-13. but sometimes as soon as 9 or as late as 14 i've heard! it just all depends on your body and when it wants to start ovulating and 'growing up.'

from between 9-16. a very small percentage of women dont get periods too. i got mine at 11. it isnt as terrible as some make it out to be. yeah you have stomache aches and you bleed from places you didnt know you had but its not some horrible disease

It depends also on when your mother got hers.

I would say between 10 and 13. Average age may be about 11. My sister-in-law was telling me that her friends 6 year old cousin got her period...I would say that is very rare.

I remember reading a report back a few months that the average age was 11. I believe that was in part to the diet and chemicals we now take in that is lowering the average age a girl starts her period. However as you may now all girls can be different.. Some may start at 8 while others may not start to as late as 14. Hope this helps..
