It will come when it comes. If the cramps and tenderness get severe, I would see the doctor. You should probably go in anyway for a checkup just so they can make sure everything is in working order.

Keep a pad or tampon on you at all times...because you never know when your period will come.
I didn't get my period until I was 14!
Nothing wrong with you...but if you are really concerned, you should visit your doctor / gynecologist.
Good Luck!

It comes at different times for everyone. Just make sure to carry supplies with you in your purse/backpack, and don't worry about it too much.

It's funny, because you wait and wait to get it, then you spend 40 yrs wishing it would just go away! It will happen on it's own time. Some girls don't get it till 16 or so. So it's ok that you don't. The cramps say that it is likely sometime in the next year though that you will.
To be prepared? Well it helps to know how to use a tampon - internet can help you there if you choose to use them. But your body pretty much does all the work on it's own :)

The average age to start your menses is 12. However 13 & 14 is normal as well.
The best way to prepare is to keep a sanitary napkin in your purse at all times.
I had my first period on SPORTS DAY at school just before my 13th birthday!

do not worry you have to wait until your body has matured enough...some kids don't get thiers until they are 16-17 and its because of how your body is...there is nothing you can do about it give it time....

are you at an average weight/size..usually someone who is extremely underweight won't have a period, but most likely you're body just is ready for that yet..if you're worried about it go to a gynocologist. if you think youre going to start soon just make sure you have some pads or tampons ready before it happens

i am right there with you. like exactly the same excepts i am 14 already. i hate being the last person. but don't worry i am sure everything will be fine. just take Advil that helps my friends. your first year you won't have regular periods so keep pads or tamppons on you at all times. oh and don't put a tampon in if it is like light cause i heard it hurts if you try to put it on when its dry

You're at about the average age to start your period, but it's possible for it to wait until you're 16 or so. I know you feel like you're the last girl in your class to get your period (I think all girls feel that way), but you're really on par. So don't worry!
There's nothing you can really do to prepare for your first period besides having a pad in your backpack or purse or wearing pantyliner. Don't think you'll be sitting in class and unknowingly have your first period and bleeding through your clothes. (That was a terrible fear of mine when I was your age.) It won't be that bad! In fact, you probably won't even realize you're getting your period until you go to the bathroom and see spots of blood. Trust me - it's not as scary as you think, and you're not behind other girls!

There's nothing wrong with you, even genetics aren't an indication of when they are going to come. My mum was 18, my sister 16 and I was 12 when we got our first period.
Carry sanitary products with you just in case and if it happens when you're away from home and you get scared you can ask any older female for help or reassurance.

I had the same problem at your age. My period didn't show up until I was almost 13. Within a year of my periods finally starting, I started having trouble with heavy clots and ovarian cysts.
Your breasts hurt because they are still developing. The cramps are from your periods trying to start. Ask your doctor next time you go. You may have a clot or blockage.
Teenaged periods are usually unpredictable. Carry a pad or two around in your purse or backpack. Buy the thin ones and get a little pouch or something to keep them in so nobody notices them. And keep extras (and extra underpants) in your school locker. I had so much trouble in high school that I used to wait until the box in my mom's closet was half empty and then fill it up with all different sizes of pads and some tampons and then smuggle it in to school and leave it in the bottom of my locker. My friends all knew where to go if they needed stuff. In college, I kept my closet stocked at all times and all the girls on my hall would just stop by when they had an emergency.

Get the things you need (tampons and pads) and be sure you understand how to use them - have you talked to your mom?
Don't worry - you should have it soon enough. I have a friend that was 9 years old when hers came, I was 14 and my mother was 16. Hang in there....girls these days have them earlier probably because of the added hormones in foods - you probably just eat healthier!!!

The later you get them the better.
Be prepared by making sure you have pads and tampons in the house. Carry panty liners on you at all time in case you get them.

I imagine that your body is just preparing to start. Has your mother taken you to the gyn yet? My mother never did. I never started until I was 15 though. Dont rush it, once you have it you will always wish for it to go away.
I would not worry to much though. Some girls are late bloomers.

there is nothing wrong with you.
be happy that your period hasn't come, and enjoy the time until it does coz having it sucks.
it's probably a sign that you're reaching puberty.
and you can't have tips on how to be ready. you will get used to it. it's weird at first and you can't change it.
