i get insane cravings during my period. but when one comes on i usually do something else i love, that you dont eat during. the best thing is taking a bubble bath with a magazine. or you could go for a walk, or go swimming.

You crave chocolate because of the Magnesium that's in it. Find some organic dark chocolate and have some. Don't eat a lot -- just a couple squares and save it for just that time of month. Dark chocolate is good for the immune system also but is high in fat -- so take care.

I believe Giant has an organic dark chocolate bar out -- Nature's Promise.

i would say say that you should let yourself have a little bit of what you crave, but not a lot. then just do something like exercise or something to keep your mind off of it and if that doesnt work then eat something like a sweet fruit or sometinhg. good luck!

well its ok to give into very little bits of your cravings... you are craving things that not only you may want but sometimes its your body telling you it needs certain nutrients... although chocolate may not be the best craving to give into try doing like a banana and chocolate smoothie :)

don't you just love your period? (sarcasm) LOL

Eat chocolate just with low calories. Weight watcher candy is awesome, it's not sugar-free or anything, its just smaller portions, it tastes really good, believe it or not. Also theres whitman candies that are fewer calories and Russel Stover has pretty good sugar-free candy. Yeah, its h*ll enough dealing with cramps don't deny yourself some comfort you deserve!

if you want it that bad, eat something that has the flavor of chocolate, like chocolate yogurt, or eat fruit covered in chocolate... usually, for me, just tasting chocolate will get rid of it.... instead, you could always try to use something else, like sunflowers, or gum... maybe even peanuts... banannas are good too, and they help with the cramps too :)
sometimes, i just want salt. i normally eat salted peanuts too.
good luck!!!

sometimes just tasting it will get rid of it. If that doesn't work drink a lot of water and it'll curb your appetite!

Women crave chocolate during their period because it contains a chemical that your body lacks during menstruation. Just have what you want but in small portions.

During that time of month your hormones tend to go a little crazy. This is probably just a side effect. I wouldn't worry. But try eating chocolate covered strawberries and stuff like that - a little chocolate with some fresh fruit - a combination!

Heya

Start the day off with breakfast, which helps prevent overwhelming hunger later in the day.
Eliminate feelings of guilt related to labeling food as either good or bad. Some choices are healthier than others, but snacks and treats can be consumed in reasonable amounts.
Plan ahead for each new week. Think about one's school, work, and activity schedule and how healthful snacks can be incorporated into it.
Keep healthful snacks close at hand, both at home and at work.
Try not to go for long periods of time without eating.
Combine lean protein foods with high-fiber carbohydrate sources to provide energy that lasts for several hours, such as a slice of vegetable pizza or a bean burrito.
Cravings can be the exception instead of the rule when it comes to one's diet. Developing a lifestyle that includes healthful food selections and regular meals and snacks can help control cravings. The extra time it takes in planning meals or snacks, whether eating at home or eating on the run, is easily made up for in increased energy and improved mood.

Hope i helped
x

Its natural for a girl to get cravings like that just dont think about it or maybe think of something healthy that you would rather eat instead or it doesnt hurt to eat junk once in a while.
