Like the other person said, you can leave it in. The only difference is that it will absorb more.

i would change it... wow i cant believe it didnt kill getting it in there. if you use a tampon that is too large for your flow for an extended period of time, you increse the risk of gettin tss... the pamplet inside the tampon box outlines the symptons ect. when you take it out it may be a little painful cuz its so large, just go slow and if it wont come out sneez to Loosen up the muscles down there. don't worry, the worst part was probably the pain of sticking that huge thing in. at least using light wont seem like anything now! lol... good luck! :)

If it doesn't feel very uncomfortable then it's probably ok. If you got it in without a problem, then you're good.
Next time just remember to use yours. . .

Hey sweetie, don't panic! I did the same thing when I first got my period. DO NOT remove it right now because it will hurt. This is only because when a tampon is removed when it's dry, especially if its large, it's extremely difficult to get out easily....wait a while then try to take it out... you may have to pull hard, and it may hurt- don't worry that's normal! If its sooo painful, give it some time. Either way, use your light ones from now on! :) I hope that helps.. and ps: remember to relax, if you tense your vaginal muscles its way harder to get out and will only make it more difficult. GOod luck!

If it is painful, you should remove it, but if not, don't worry, our vaginal canals are very elastic and will adjust to different sizes. It won't do any damage.

I'm sorry, people on here are so rude! If you are uncomfortable with it in, then take it out. If you are not a heavy bleeder than it will hurt a little because dry tampons are not fun getting out. But just relax and put your normal sized one in. Tampons were very hard for me to get used to too. They were difficult for about 3 months. I hope I helped, dont listen to most of these answers...they are ridiculous and people who just want points.
Take care sweetheart, hope I helped

Okay first of all breath.
It's easier to remove a tampon if your relaxed.
You will not die or get TSS if you take it out within 4 hours.
Take out the tampon how you usually would.
It will probably hurt but just go slow.
Remember to stay calm.
You are fine :)
If it hurts a lot just stop for a few seconds and take a breather.
Then pull the rest out and you wil be fine.
Theres nothing wrong or anything that will be bad that will happen. A lot of people have done that.
You'll be fine :)
If it's really dry get it wet with water so it's east to remove by dipping that area in water.
Make sure the water isn't too hot or cold.
I'm sorry about all the rude ppl here.
