How old are you ? If you aren't eighteen then your fine. When you are first getting your period (in your teen years) your period will be irregular (you won't have a certain pattern) |

no that happened to me and I am fine |

Go to the Dr. ASAP and request a hormone test. My girlfriend stopped having her period 8 months after she started (age 13-14). Dr.s kept saying no problem. Years later, she was diagnosed with low hormones, which could have been corrected early on, so she cannot have children now. |

You don't need to have a period to ovulate so please don't think you are abnormal OR that you can't get pregnant. You can. Every month. See a gynocologist to calm your fears. |

maybe you should tell your doctor. |

I doubt it, mine was slow at first too, give it time, don't rush it, once it starts coming regualrly it NEVER goes away. lol |

This is usually normal when just starting. Sometimes it takes a few years even to get truly regular, however be sure that you aren't under weight. This may sound funny but if you don't have enough body fat you won't be able to have a period. Not healthy! If you have concerns about your cycle maybe ask your Mom if you can and see what it was like for her. Also you can ask your Doctor if you don't get another period soon. There can be many reasons. All the best sweetie! =) |

No, that is really not that unusual, but it would depend on how old you are, your weight and overall health, and other factors. You should be seeing a gynecologist so he or she can give you a better answer. |

You might just be someone who gets her period every couple of months but I'd go to the gynecologist and check it out anyway. It's good to know for sure. |

You're actually very normal. Usually the first year of having your period is irregular. It can come every 2 weeks or every 4 months, it can last 5 days or last 2. If it does stay irregular for longer then a year, you could just check it out with a doctor. |

well are you using yaz with only give u your period three times a year .if not then you need a doctor/// |

that is completely normal. your body isnt used to regular menstrual flow. in a few months it should be coming every month. if not talk to your mom/dad and ask to go see a doctor. btw you will get sick of your period in about a year. it sucks. im going on the pill very soon though :] NO MORE PERIODS!!!!!! and i can have all the sex i want w/o the great risk of getting pregnant. |

have you changed your diet lately? your period comes once a month or so and can be a cycle, but if it doesnt become a routine, maybe you're not eating right, i havent seen mine since august, but im sure you're fine, unless you've had sex. =o but i highly doubt thats why . |

I went through the same thing and asked my doctor and he said that these are some of the reasons those things happen: stress and if you're very active then you won't have it as often. So don't worry about it! You will have it sooner or later. I went 6 months withough having mine. |

Do you get regular check ups? You should now that you are becoming a woman. Your period should come every 28 days on the nose. But since you just started your body may just be adjusting, talk to your mother and paternal grandmother or aunt if you can to find out if it is common among their family to have sporatic periods it happens. I had a cousin who only had 3 days a period while I went the whole 7 just depends on your genes and just get checked to make sure everything is ok. Welcome to womanhood |

It's just irregular cycles because you just started your period. Don't worry, it might become normal after a couple months. If you're very worry then tell your mom and go to a doctor. |

When your periods are just starting, they can be irregular. They should even out by next January...if they don't, check with your pediatrician or gynecologist--there might be something wrong. For right now though, don't worry. Many things can screw up your periods--stress and just starting, to name a few. |
