I have an itching sensation on my vagina since 45 days. Initially i thought it could be due to excessive body heat and hence took lots of coconut water and buttermilk but of no use. But now i feel i need to take some antibiotics. Can you please suggest which medicine is suitable? Its just the itching sesnation. No excessive white discharge. Everything else is normal. The burning sensation is same throughout and doesnt increase while urinating as in case of infections.

45 days is way too long. I see that you've been putting it off, but you'll have to see your Physician. You'll be glad you did. |

use the monistat 1 day treatment, it is just one little capsule you put in there and it will burn a little but you will be back to normal in no time. plus you get itch cream for your exturnal vulvar and cool (litterally, like temperature wise) wipes |

See a Dr. It's more than likely a yeast infection. Nothing too serious and some over the counter medications can help. You never know it could be your laundry deteregent too. BUT SEE A DOCTOR! |

See your doctor. It could be an STD, or even an allergic reaction. |

Not trying to be gross or anything, but I sometimes get that when I sweat alot down there. When that happens, I put a little baking soda in my bath each time I take a bath for a week straight. I take a bath every day with the baking soda. One tablespoon of it would work. |

Please, seek proper medical advice. Really. It could be serious, it might not be. We cannot tell you. I do hope you get the relief you need. That is a LONG time to be suffering. |

What kind of soap do you use? If it smells strong or is an Antibacterial, do NOT use it down there. Use sensitive soap. It sounds more like the soap you are using if there's no burning sensation while peeing, it's probably you secretly itching (not to offend, but for the case of being blunt as most people do what many people find gross,) and irritating the skin making it burn. Just, change your soap. Hope that helps =/. Oh... and DOUCHES will NOT help. Don't touch them. If changing the soap and using vagisil or any other anti-yeast product don't help, go see a doctor. |

Take table vinegar and mix one part to 3 or 4 parts and apply to vagina. Its gonna biurn like hell maybe depending on how much you can dilute it. Also Another thing is keep it clean and dry all day avoid thong cause they will keep on scratching at your vagina. avoid also tight pantie. If possible have the vinegar mixture with you all day and clean about three times a day. If possible to make sure area is tottally dry and clean wear a panty liner which you change evry 4 hours, and at night try sleeping without underwear so that it may breath. Do the same for three to four days if that doesnt work it is advisable to see a doctor. |

might be pubic lice, an std, or simply a yeast infection. if you are underage, sexually active and/or too embarrassed to tell your mom or a close female friend about it, go to a clinic by yourself or with a friend. planned parenthood will give you a check up/pap smear, birth control, etc. for free. when you fill out the patient info form like at any other doctor's office, they have this special section where you write in your phone number and you can specify whether you want your file, and therefore history, at the clinic to be CONFIDENTIAL. this means that they can call your house and say they are someone else like, "hi. this is sarah from (your name here)'s chemistry class. i had a couple quick questions, think i can talk to her?" OR just write in a cell phone or a friend's number, it is very important that you put a phone number, so that they can call you back and tell you your test results, and/or schedule your next appt. also, clinics usually have pretty flexible hours. |

I suggest that you visit the nearest doctor to determine what's wrong with you and make the necessary prescription based on your symptoms and test results. She/He may ask for a urine sample for urinalysis and culture to rule out urinary Tract Infection and kidney abnormality... or you may be subjected to have a pap a smear where a sample from your vaginal opening will be taken for laboratory analysis, etc. Right now, the best thing that you can do is drink lot of water and avoid wearing tight underwear/jeans. Also use a PH balanced vaginal wash and avoid sexual contact while you're under observation. |

You need to see a doctor ASAP. There has been new findings that some infections in women can cause uterine cancer. Don't hesitate! It could be nothing, but it definitely needs to be checked out. |

It could be a simple yeast infection, or it could be something more serious. Either way, you need to have it checked out by a doctor. |

You should definitely see a gynecologist. It's the best way to go, and his or her solution is guaranteed to work. Only itching? I haven't heard of that... might you by chance have an STD like crabs? I'm afraid i can't help, and none of us can help as much as your doctor can. Good luck with that. |

If it's been going on this long, I'd have it look at. You may have a yeast infection/Clamidia and your doctor can provide you with something to kill the bacteria. Otherwise, you can buy monostat - look by the feminine products section for this. Often you will get the cream to cure and and a relief cream together in one product. Know how you feel - been there done that too many times.. |

I'm going to guess a yeast infection. I would try some over the counter medicine for a couple of days, and if that doesn't work go to your gyno. for a check up. I would also wear cotton panties for a while and change them daily if the get damp, and also go without any panties while sleeping at night. |
