I've had this. It's totally normal so don't freak out.
It's not a yeast infection, it's just uncomortable. Best advice is to scratch it like crazy when no one is looking. Lol. Wash it good, too. It will go away. If it continues for more than a week or week and half, then you should get it checked out.

this could actually be any number of things. first you should definately talk to your mom and see a doctor. it could be either bacterial vaginosis or yeast infection. the BV is more the type of infection that smells than a yeast infection. it will be kind of fishy smelling. a yeast infection is usually very itchy.
but also it could be a skin releted thing like seborreha or eczema or combo of both. which are not really female area related but can be quite itchy. i have both and neither are curable. only treatable with a cream and ZEP soap.
i would first see your ob/gyn and rule out the first two things. if it isn't those, dermatologist would be next bet. that's what I had to do. tried for years to have ob/gyn fix situation and it ended up being skin problem.

Go and see your doctor today. You need culture if you havent had this before.
Although, it does sound like it could be yeast.
IF so...
Get to a pharmacy and get some Canesten or Monistat.
Also, pick up some Acidophius and take it daily for a week or so and that should keep it from coming back.

Are you sexually active? Have you recently changed body wash or soap? Have you recently changed brands of washing powder and haven't rinsed them properly? Best to go to a doctor, if you are young, and don't drive, tell your mum it's ladies business and you want to see a doctor, can she drive you? Your mum CANNOT deny you that right. Also, she may appreciate the fact that you can open up to her and tell her what's going on 'down there'. I'm no doctor, but could be irritation from the above questions I mentioned, or thrush, or herpes, etc... But best to go see a doctor who can take a swab and prescribe medication to ease the itchiness. And don't scratch it, it will make it worse. If you touch your self down there, wash your hands thoroughly so you don't spread what ever it is to any other parts of your body. If you can't get to the doctors today, try canestan cream for the interim until you can get to the doctors, but best not leave it for too much longer though, the longer you leave it, the worse it gets.

smells bad and itchy good sign of a yeast infection (thrush) you need to get to a pharmacy and get some cream. It is the only way to fix it.
it is also a good idea to take some of those good bacteria tablets you can also get from a pharmacy they are called different things in different countries

it's called a doctor. sorry, you're going to have to tell someone. honestly, if you can tell an entire internet full of perv 90-year-olds and obnoxious teens, how bad is your mom and your doctor going to be?
seriously, these kinds of things left untreated can be dangerous.

It sounds like you have a bad yeast infection. This is not something that can be caught by having sex so if you are scared to tell her because you think she is going to think you are sexually active, don't worry about that. They don't get better on their own. You need Monistat 7 or something.

okay well it's a fact you have a yeast infection and it's probably pretty bad if you are itching that bad.first things first,it's normal for females to get them and it doesn't have to be from having sex(although if you are you are probably making it worse and passing it back and forth)been there.go to your local pharmacy and get vaginal anti ithch cream and read the directions really good..it will burn a little at first but then instant releif on the outside now you have to take care of the source. If you have been on antibiotics, wear clothes to tight, take bathes with soapy water anything that holds in moisture, with body heat, colored undies(always wear white cotton croch panties)any of these things can cause a yeast or bacteria infection and you can try over the counter yeast meds(creams or pills that you insert in your vagina) best is the 7 day treatment.Don't have sex while treating this ,it onlymakes it worse and if you are having sex your partner should get the same cream and rub it on the head of his penis.Air is the best way to speed up healing.when you are at home don't wear panties instead wear a bigger p.j. pant and let the air get to your bottom.if this does not work you need to go to your Dr. or health clinic and they can give you presciption med.for vaginal and a pill you take by mouth nips it in the bud after 1 pill and 1 vaginal insert of meds.good luck and take care of this soon before you have more serious problems..

Sounds exactly like a yeast infection. You can buy Monistat over the counter to treat it at home, but if it's your first one, you need to see a doctor first just to be sure. Most women get these, so don;t be embarrased to talk to your mom. Women get them even if they are not having sex, so it not always attributed to that.

you most likely have an yeast infection, there are over the counter creams you can buy at pharmacies that will treat the infection 3-7 days or you can go to dr and they'll give you pills; try the creams if it does not get better in a few days, go to dr
ps yeast infections are very common and are not considered to be STD's

Do you have any discharge? If you do it's probably a yeast infection. You're supposed to go to the doctor if you've never had one but you can just buy some cream from the store and it's the same thing a DR would give you.

You have a yeast infection. Have you recently taken an antibiotic? That will cause a yeast infection. You can buy some over the counter remedies at the health and beauty department of your local store (like Wal-Mart). Look in the aisle where the tampons are. Try a product called Monistat. Why don't you want to tell your mom? She knows what a yeast infection is......women get them...she will know what to do. Give her a chance.

I'm pretty sure you have a yeast infection. Those itch like crazy...and any guy who laughs about it, sayin' crap like "scratch it" or "gross", I hope they get on on their dick, cuz they won't be laughing then.
Ok, so, girl, you need to tell your mom. Yeast infections occur because there is an imbalance in the bacteria. Tons of things can cause it: Don't worry about telling your mom ~ I don't know a woman who hasn't had at least one.
