Gotta Love It	fold pieces of toilet paper in you underwear, change it like every 15 minutes. i told my mom the second time i had my period, so the first time this is what i did. i came out oof the bathroom really timid and every thing and said mom, i just got my period. she said o god and told me how to use a tampon. i was really embarassed, but im glad i told her. your first time sohuld be light Was this answer helpful to you? sandrawalker@y7mail.com	Hi,toilet paper will help,but if your heavy it will go straight through.Try using kitchen towel,they tend to be more absorbent,if you have nothing else find an old towel and cut it up,double it over a few times to make it thicker and see how you go.If you need to tell your mum just say "Ive just started my period and I thought you should know",she will most likely be upset if you dont tell her and you will have to get her to buy you some pads anyway,so let her know asap.Good luck. rz	it's so not a big deal. It's not like she's going to throw you an embarassment party! Just say "hey mum I need some pads". Fold up some toilet tissue and put it between your area. I would recommend getting the diva cup. It's a reusable silicone cup that you empty two times a day. It doesn't involve any chemicals or pesticides so it's better for you and the earth! Jen	Take the softest toilet paper you can find and use it in place of a pad. Or if you're willing to waste it, use a small towel. PLEASE DON'T just stick anything up your butt and use it as a tampon. Actually I didn't tell her. This is kinda weird, but I got my first period before I even knew what they were, so I thought I was accidentally pooping in my pants. KEL <3	paper towel+tape= perfect subsitute for a pad! well i didnt have to tell my mom, i was acting crabby and i kept complaining that my stomach hurt! so she was like, did you get your period?? and i was like yeah! and she said oh okay, well lets go to the store and buys some pads and midol! and i felt so relieved. just hint around, she'll get it eventually!! i was just glad that i didnt have one of those moms thats gets all exicted and pround about it! like the one that tells the whole family and the lady behind the counter at the drugstore!! my mom just acted like it was no big deal, she didnt make me feel all embrasses, its was totally cool of her!! and im sure your mom will do the same! good luck!! dreamnet1134	yeah seriously, just get some toilet paper, my first one only lasted 2 days, and it was verrry light, and where i was in gymnastics i told my mom, and she got a couple of boxes out from under her bathroom counter, and threw them at me and told me "you need to wear tampons, because of gymnastics." and i was like okay, and walked off. Am I pregnant?	get some toilet paper and fold like a napkin. The thicker the better. Put that in your underwear untill your mom gets you some pads. I just told my mom on the phone while she was at work and she said she had some pads in her bathroom closet maybe check your moms closet. Don't use tampons though. Not yet. LeeA	Fold up some paper towels and put them in your panties....just do not flush them to clog your toilet. Or, you can just fold tissues up and put them there until you get some girl things. Candace T live and in colour	You are still up I'm guessing so, if you can, try to have a bath. Your flow will almost come to a complete stop in water. Than use some toilet paper for a little bit. Try to get some warm water pack thingies and sleep. You may get a few blood stains but it won't be as bad. Have you told Mum yet? Don't be nervous, just come out and tell her. Moms aren't usually too judge mental on that kind of thing, and when you get comfortable about talking about your period it'll make your relation ship even stronger. P.S. inluv926	Good Lawd!!! She is your mother...meaning she has/had her period she will totally understand your situation and will definately have a talk with you about what you are going through.
