When your 12 you are just learning about your sexuality you can't definitively say you are lesbian till much later because according to parenting books my mom's assistant reads for her, it is normal to have crushes on the same sex at at young age. Rod S	u can tell by her behavior, i.e, like dolls or army men, jump rope or more attractive to more boy sport, love beauty salons, makeup and getting into grilly things, or does she like to wear pants and sweats. Mike C	Sexuality itself is a life long journey for most people. I have met people who have changed preferred genders a couple of times during their life. It is not uncommon during a persons sexual life to add or negate favorite fetishes, paraphilia, or types of partners (gender and physical preferences) So I guess, it's not so important for her to know for sure, as it is to be comfortable wherever she is now. kristina43	it doesn't matter the age....when you know you're gay, you just know it. There are people that are gay that say they knew it when they were 8 years old.
