Go see a doctor. That's all we, as everyday people, can suggest.

Sometimes she might have irregular periods, just wait and see next month. She will tend to have irregular periods when she just gets it.

Some girls at that age, their bodies are adjusting through the changes..as in getting her period. I wouldn't be alarmed but if she doesn't get in 2 full months, then take her to her doctor.

It could be caused because of stress, or something else.
I'd take her to a doctor though and see what's going on.

Well..it is totally normal. It's just stress or something. I'm 17 & I haven't had my period since June. If u take her to the gynocologist they might give her hormone pills for a week to regualte it or put her on birth control. But, I don't recommend any of it, because I had to take them & they only worked for one month. They mess with you head too..because It makes you even more stressed out & stuff.

There is nothing wrong with her. Some woman have irregular period their whole life! Others start of with regular periods. If your daughter is stressed it might come later. If you're worried go see a doctor but she is fine.

it's not that terrible, she young, her body might not have adapted to the new influx of hormones yet. I used to get my periods every two months when I was 15, now it's once every 4-5 weeks. It's normal, she might just be irregular.
But to be 100% sure, go see a doctor and ask him or her

She is young and her hormones haven't settled down yet. Reassure her and try to get her to destress herself. If you are 100% certain she isn't pregnant and everything else seems ok, just wait it out.

Ya know what..... when I was that age... my period would skip maybe every other 2 months. I thinks it is her body trying to get use to having a normal cycle. She is still young. I think this happens to quite a few girls. Its perfectly normal.
Also!!! She could possibly have an ovarian cyst... nothing serious tho. Usually ovarian cyst block the ovaries for a couple of weeks whicch prevents her getting her period. Ovarian cyst go away on their own by shirnking up.

There probably isn't anything wrong. In the beginning, a girl's periods can be very irregular. To be on the safe side though, take her to her pediatrician just for a check up. If you're a single dad and feel a little funny about taking her to the doctor for this, maybe you could have her grandmother or an aunt go with her.

It take about a year to two, to get her body adjusted to having periods and to get on a normal cycle...Just schedule and Appt. with the doctor

It could be a number of things. For starters, she is young, and when women start their periods it can be irregular for awhile. If that's not it, perhaps it is her Thyroid. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism just recently- I am 27- and I have had irregular periods all my life. I only wish I had been diagnosed when I was young! It would have saved me a lot of hardship. But, instead, I listened to everyone who told me not to worry about it.
So, if it doesn't become regular soon, PLEASE TAKE HER TO A DOCTOR! It's for her health.
Good luck! :)

its very common for young girls periods to not be regulated. if she has just started getting her period, its completely normal. a lot of things will cause your period to be late or miss completely, including stress, poor diet, a lot of physical activity, etc. birth control pills help to regulate a period that is very irregular.

Girls at her age are not yet regular, so don't worry dad... (unless as you say, she's preggers). It usually takes a year, and maybe two for girls to cycle regularly.
