Offending Party	Yikes, I thought you might just have a bladder infection or urinary Tract infection but the blood means it might be something else. If you have been sexually active it could be an STD. I know going to the gyno sucks, but it is very neccesary to your health. You should go but if you do not want to you can drink 100%Cranberry juice, keep area dry and clean, wipe front to back, and there is an over the counter medication for UTIs I believe it is called OZO, ask your pharmicist. bestaimee2151	It may be a UTI, (urinary Tract infection), which is really very common, and doesn't mean you've done anything bad/wrong. Don't let your mom scare you! You check for UTI's by giving a urine sample, not by a gynocological exam. Secondly, I'm not sure how old you are, but as a woman, those kinds of exams are just going to have to become a part of your life at some point. Just have your mom (or you) check out female gynocologists to make you a little more comfortable (but it's never not weird to get one of those exams). Either way, your best bet is finding a female doctor and figuring out what it is, before it gets worse. PS:You may hear people advise Cranberry juice, which can help promote good kidney function, but it's never going to clear up an infection if you've got one. Good luck. Was this answer helpful to you? He or she will ask you to give a urine specimen as soon as you get there, and will probably be able to diagnose your problem without doing an examination. But if it's necessary, no big deal. Mindy	You may also be passing a kidney stone (i.e. blood in the urine) which would cause massive pain, not always in the back. If it is stuck in the ureter it will cause pain to the point of wanting to scream. Bladder infections, urinary Tract infections, as well as kidney infections can go along with a kidney stone. Like all the other answers, you need to see a doctor! Blood in the urine is never a good sign. No matter whether it's a bladder infection, UTI, kidney infection or a stone, you won't feel better until you get to a doctor and get a diagnosis so they can start treating you. You probably have a MASSIVE URINARY INFECTION which you could have gotten any number of ways and NOT just sexually; some females are simply prone to them. You MUST get to a doctor and I mean NOW. Only prescribed antibiotics will be of help. I've only had two urinary infections in my life and believe me, this is nothing to mess with; I am astounded that you can stand the pain; I DID scream. But the good part: within about 1/2 hour of taking that first antibiotic pill, you will experience the sweetest feeling in the world...NO PAIN UPON URINATION. I cried then too...but with relief.
