Chavabratt	Yes, you can try on a tampon. It's not going to hurt you. Just don't leave it in for an extremely long amount of time. That brings on the risk on toxic shock. Which is very rare, but still something to be cautious about. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

If you have to do it put a little vaseline on the tip, it will make it a little less uncomfortable... and don't leave it in! Mali ♥	yeah its fine as longas you take it out straight away afterwards, i did before i got mine! you're going to get a lot of people telling you that you'll get TSS from it, but that's just not true, you get that from leaving a tampon in more than 8 hours, and it is extremely rareanyway, so dont worry about that for now. Querious	Tampons dry you out too much. Its better to use pads any time you can to avoid the dryness and the health effects it can lead to. Toxic shock is a real, but small concern. rawr i eat you	First off, i don't see why you would want to do that. if it's just to practice for when you DO get your period, then you'd be better off just waiting for that to happen. i don't wat to get gross here, but it's going to slide in a LOT easier if theres...blood....to let it....please don't make me go further in detail. anyways, you can get shock if you don't handle your tampons right, so i wouldn't try it even if you're okay with the fact that it's going to be extremely difficult. hello	it wont hurt you if you only keep it in for a short time. but it may hurt a little bit when you try to take it out because it wont be wet enough and it might rub a little but other than that it wont hurt you and you WILL NOT get toxic shock syndrome from just trying in on if its only like i said a short time. haev17	NO! Don't do it. The discharge will get in it and will stick. It will rip some skin off of your hymen and will HURT. Also, if there is not discharge, it's like paper being stuck to sweat or a slightly damp area, doesn't come off (or out) easily. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Kara T	No, you can practice with just putting the applicator in, but don't actually press the plunger and put the tampon in. It probably wouldn't injure you, but it may hurt pulling a dry tampon out. Rachel H	the box should clearly say "dont use unless of period." i tried it, just to see what it feels like and it hurt like a mofo to try and take it out. I was scared of them for 5 or 6 months.
