I am very sorry for all of the rude people on board that are giving you such a bad time. Your question is important to you, I don't know why they can't see that. Well Sweetie, my Daughter was 9 years old when she had her first period. I hear that girls are starting at a much younger age these days. You take care Sweet Little Darling - Voodoo

Well, i dont think you will be getting ur periods... before you get ur periods.. u just feel like ur underwear is kinda wet n you feel like you have ur periods.. well dont worry about it, it's something natural n if your getting it a bit early, that's perfectly fine. No need to freak out about it.... Just if you do get ur periods, go to the doctor... but im really sure it's just.. the wet undi part.

Wow. For about, oh...a quarter of a second, I thought you might be telling the truth. But then my spidey sense tingled.
Did I say spidey sense? I meant common sense. I always get those two confused.

Most likely not until you're 12, even though there's been cases at eight at the one extreme.

7year olds don't enerally know what a period is. It is very rare for a 7 year old to even get a period. My sister's niece got hers when she was 8 but that was because she had other problems, she was born prematurely. Maybe you ought to think about asking a real question instead of playing around. Seriously...

I just looked at this person's profile.
"She" has a habit of pretending she's a little girl getting her period (i.e. "how do you use tampons" etc.). In another question "she" told answerers that "she" was eight.
Dude, you are a sick, sick, sick pedophile pervert. Get a life you whacko!
People---use your brains. Obviously this person is not a seven year old getting her period. You need to be able to spot this stuff because these pedophiles are trolling for your own kids.

Ok I am so disappointed that people are responding like this, NO MATTER what your age is! Lets be a bit nicer to this person!Girls get their period at different ages, 7 years old huh? Well don't be hoping for your period it's a real pain especially while you are in school. There was a girl I went to school with that started hers when we were in the 4th grade so she would have been .... 9 years old, thats the youngest I know of... I didn't know when I was about to start mine, You probably aren't at least for a couple of years. Obviously you have talked to a older person to know about "periods" thats the best thing ... talk to your mom, sister, aunt, granny, cousin anyone of the older female gender can give good answers

There is no way you are getting your period at 7 years old i am 11 and i still havent gotten mine you dont need to worry about it and when you are in my grade thenyou will learn about growing and changing so you will learn all about it and if you start it before then then you can always talk to your mom about it no matter how hard and embarassing it may be.

Well when you go to school I would bring a tampon or a pad, if you don't have any your mom will. Trust me, plus this is doubtful but if your friends have one you'll be a life saver. I would also ask your mom what her symptoms are when she's getting ready to have one. I hope I've been helpful. Bye!

I highly doubt that you are about to get your period anytime soon.
I mean, if you really are 7 you wont get it for a while. Most girls get it between the ages of 9 to 15. You should talk to your mom if your worried.

What makes you feel that you will have your period soon? Girls usually get their period from the ages of 11 - 16; you've still got a bit of time! If you have any more questions, it would be best that you talked to your mom about it.

**EDIT** would a seven year old say this? "Tell your girlfriend to use spermicide. That should reduce the risks, and yes it is Always possible to get prego with or without the use of a condom."
This cannot possibly be a 7 year old, but what the hey..
When I first got my period (at age 11).. there were no signs, it just came. It wasn't until later that I got cramping, etc. I began to develop very early, but the period did not come right away. Don't worry about it.. you are probably not due for it yet (although it can happen), but even so.. the first time there will probably not be very much blood and you will probably not bleed for a long time. It will take a while before you get it the same time every month (if ever). If you are lucky it won't last a week. Thankfully, mine is here and gone in three days!
P.S. For all of those who think you have to be older to get your period.. it just isn't so. My mother was 9 when she got her's. I also knew a little girl who was 5 with the ovaries of a 16 year old. For some reason her female organs developed early. That was a very difficult thing for her mother to have to explain to her I am sure. Children are not as naive as you think and they can't be. Girls are developing a lot faster now...
