If you think you have a yeast infection, because of symptoms BESIDES a late period... then tell your mother. If you think you have a yeast infection because of your late period... calm down, every girl gets late periods sometimes!

I don't think I'd take it to the extreme point in which the first responder did. Missed/late periods are extremely common for someone your age, and it's extremely likely that it's nothing. Your mother isn't going to feel uncomfortable at all talking about it with you, trust me. So if you're still worried talk to her and see a doctor.

How old are you and how long have you been having periods? If you haven't been having them that long, it may not be totally regulated yet. It takes awhile for your cycle to become really regular.
Small things can throw your period off, even stress. Try not to worry about it, because that will probably make it worse.
If you don't have itching/burning/an odor I doubt you have a yeast infection. In any case, I don't think that a yeast infection would cause your period to be late.
If you aren't sexually active, you have no reason to worry about pregnancy; therefore I don't see why it would be a big deal to tell your mom. She's a woman and she knows how weird cycles can be sometimes...

Are you still young? Because if so you're periods are probably just irregular. I remember being 14 and my period was 13 days late... that's how irregular they were. And then there are some girls I know who skip their periods.
It's normal. I wouldn't worry. But if you're really concerned, see a doctor to put your mind at ease.

my boobs get so sore before my period, if its the same case with you, press on them and see if they hurt. then maybe its just late. if you have never had sex then obviosly you are not pregnant. but a yeast infection never changed my date, but yeast infections suck, i had to tell my mom when i first got one because i had no clue what medicine to get, but get some yeast infection medicine, it'll really help.

It is common for periods to be irregular.
If you can't talk to your mom, try to talk to a friend.
You can buy over the counter yeast treatments.
Look on the internet to see if the symptoms are the same.
I wish you were not so upset. I think it's going to be OK.

Hunni.... If you've never done anything you have no reason to be concerned... Also, If you're young, it's completely normal for your period to be irregular....
A yeast infection wouldn't change it...
Just let your mom know... She can tell you it's normal to be late/early... Stressing about it can make it even later.

Sometimes stress can make you have a late period. Stop stressing. If you don't have it within a month tell your mom to take you to the doctor. But don't worry if you haven't been "kissing" you shouldn't have anything to worry about. :)

Don't be scared. You have nothing to worry about. It is normal for periods to not be regular when you are really young. If you continue to be irregular then ask your Mom to take you to see a gynecologist or to the health department if they have those services in your area and you don't have much money. My daughter was not regular for the first three years she had her period, so do not worry. If you have done nothing to become pregnant then you have no worries. If you have a yeast infection, which is very common, you will have a thick white discharge and be itchy and tender in the vaginal area. It can be treated with an over the counter cream you get at almost any store. You need to talk to your Mom about these things, she has been through it and can help you.

honestly, i think its really normal for them to sometimes not always be exactly on time or a little late. it's happened to me a few times, actually. im not sure a yeast infection would cause this.... i've had one before and that didnt happen, and your def. not pregnant since you havnt had sex. i highly doubt its anything, and you should def. tell your mom cause she would know what to do and since its almost def. nothing bad, you should b/c you would prolly feel a lot better knowing you are fine!!! ya know?
good luck!!! :)

Yeast infections can be caused by almost everything besides sex...usually you get clamydia or something else if you're having sex.....you could go buy Monistat at the store for the yeast infection, if you're scared to tell your mom.....but you shouldn't be....now is the time to practice feminine hygeine, and going to the Gyno, for your paps and other check ups....it's just part of being a female, sucks, but you'll get used to it!!!

When you're young, you're periods can be off by days, weeks, or even be missed completely during a month. If you're young, and haven't been sexually active YOU'RE NOT PREGNANT. If you have been, go to your local dollar store. They sell home pregnancy test... for $1. Buy one and follow the instructions carefully. If you get a positive TELL YOUR PARENTS IMMEDIATELY!!! If it's negative, chances are very good that your period is just late due to your age.

Tell her now. How old are you? How long ago did you start? It takes some time to become regular for some girls. If you think you have a yeast infection, tell your mom...you need to have this treated. She will understand. And if you havent done anything, then what are you ashamed of. Good for you. Help yourself out though, start talking to your mom now and keep the lines of communication open.

Sometimes periods are late. If you truly haven't had sex, then you are ok. You shouldn't be afraid to tell your mom. A yeast infection wouldn't cause a late period. Also, a yeast infection isn't anything to be embarrassed about. Every woman gets one. So it isn't anything you ate, or didn't eat, as long as you haven't had sex...u should be worried.

Periods are SOO irregular it's crazy. Don't even worry about it. Sometimes my periods can not come for like 1 month. That doesn't really happen often but it happens. A week is TOTALLY normal. Don't get too worried until you hit a month. Good Luck;)

If you know for sure that you're not pregnant then you shouldn't worry. This happens to women all the time. It can be caused by a change in diet, exercise, weight gain/loss, stress , etc. It's perfectly normal don't worry so much. Check this website to match your symptoms of yeast infection. http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/yeastinfect.htm If you really don't wanna tell your mom you don't have to. Yeast infections are very treatable and if you have you can go to the store and buy an over the counter treatment.
good luck i hope this helped

For heavens sake, then what in the world are you afraid of?? It is not unusual to have irregular cycles. Talk to your doctor the next time you go. Just tell him/her that you need to discuss something with him in private, and he (or his staff) will handle it from there. But I bet you would feel so much better if you would talk to your mom..

sometimes your feeling will affect the perid delay, the more you worry it will delay your period. usually this will deal with either early 3 days or late 3days. relax and if you want to tell your mum just tell her because she is a woman too she will know best.

First, periods can be irregular, it doesn't always indicate something is wrong.
Also, you should tell your mom, the sooner it's taken care of the safer. If you haven't been doing anything then theres no reason to be ashamed.
If you really don't want to tell her figure out an excuse to go to the doctor, and ask him/her to not tell your mom at least till the results come back for whatever the problem is.

Wait till the end of the week and then ask her. I would also consider googling possible reasons for a late period. Sometimes it is just a little late.
