Better practice your oral skills or get some lube.(not being a smartass just practicle.) you don't say if you are active now or not. If the flow wasn't bad my wife and just got out a towel. explain to him now though. Best of luck and congrats. |

You could try taking birth control pills. Other than that there isn't really anything that would definitely stop your period coming on. Congratulations and good luck for Friday!!! |

I'm so sorry that's happening to you! I was at the tail end of mine on our Sept. 1st wedding last month. I wish I'd worn a Spanx undergarment, cuz my belly was a little swollen...But everything turned out just fine. Try not to stress! Best of luck! |

Only if you are on the pill. You can continue to take the hormone ones and don't take the filler pills until after the honeymoon. |

Try birthcontrol, might me spendy, but you can use it later. You can buy them at pharmacys, but you probably already know that! Have a happy wedding!!!! |

take contraceptive pills, they stop the period completely until you stop taking them as they contain Progesterone and they maintain the uterus linig, preventing its rupture during menustration. |

Congratulations!!!! love, i'm very happy for you. However there is nothing you can do about your period sorry. Start taking your pain killers now so at least you won't be miserable. Get your brides maids/friends to be very vigilant so that there won't be any unsightly stains. The meds i've heard about reduces the number of days you have your period for, but even with that you would have been expected to start taking them ages ago. No worries, its natural and on the up side YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!!! :-) |

That would depend if you've started. If you haven't go to the doctor and get some birth control pills and start them immediately....I'm not sure if it works after you've started but, what can you lose by trying. The day you stop the pills you can expect your period to return the next day....Good Luck with the Nuptials hope you have a great day! |

Umm, i havent heard of anything that can stop a period once it on its way, but check with a doctor...he/she may be able to prescribe something. It is possible, but i dont know if they could...best of luck... THe only thing i could think of, would be one of the newer birth control pills like seasonel or something but im not sure how they work..hope it turns alright for you, and CONGRADULATIONS on getting married this Friday..... |

Exercise will help get rid of the cramps. Cramps are actuall blood clots and excersie helps you to pass them. Try to go for a little jog or do some sit ups. It really does help. Then take a bunch of Midol and drink all the champagne you want! |

If you were on hormones, you could determine when to allow a period. But at this point it's probably too late for Friday. I use b.c. constantly and never bleed. Much better! |

Schmoke and a pancake? |
You can use birth control pills to skip a period. If you are already on them, you just skip the ones that have no hormone in them, and go on to the next pack, so you are steadily getting the hormone. Unfortunately, if you weren't on them already, it's too late now. And even if so, it might still be too late. It works best with a little advance planning. |

Whatever way there is is probably dangerous. i would let things "flow" normally and make up for it later. |

Sorry, but even the pill wouldn't help stop your period if you are getting married this Friday. Congratulations to you, best wishes! Have a great wedding and a happy honeymoon! Don't worry... many women get their periods at around their wedding days, and nothing is ruined, I assure you. |

If you are taking birth control pills, just skip the different color pills and continue taking the regular ones. It will make you skip your cycle. |

My wife had the same situation. It is not a big deal (we were sexually active anyway) so we went on our vaccation and really had a nice time. It is kind of interesting, there is so much pressure built up about wedding night sex but we didn't feel any of it. We were so exhausted from the festivities, it was nice to get to the hotel, take a hot shower and get some sleep. Twelve years later, and we still make up for our 'lost night' |
